it's an insult to Nevada Athletic Commission

the gays-->schaefer, golden boy, and mayweather should not insist the Olympic style drug testing by USADA and bypass NAC, for more than 60 years in servicing the athletes, it's an insult for NAC. NAC should be the one who should dictate or set the rules on drug test of athletes and not this 3 gays.

If you actully read boxing news, you would know that the representitive to the NSAC said GBP and Ellerbe have been very respectful throughout the entire process and he did not find their requests disrespectful.
But if you wanna be an idiot, just go ahead.

      I can agree.

If Floyd felt the testing was inadequate, he should have petitioned for the Commission to do more stringent testing for this fight. That would have been the right way to go about it, not try and get some outside company to do it.

There is no reason they shouldn't have gone to the USADA. They test all of the USA's olympic athletes as well as implementing the drug testing policy of the world anti-doping agency.

Nevada should get on board with that program, but there is no way they'd be ready to do it for this fight. The Nevada program just isn't nearly as good as the one the USADA uses.

Really? It's not good enough to handle doing random blood and urine tests?

I have a hard time believing that.

That's why I'm inclined to believe that their testing really isn't as bad as posters here are trying to make it to be. No one here knows jack **** when it comes to drug testing, I'd like to hear the opinions of some non-biased experts.

Someone from the Nevada commission said they could do it but they don't have the procedure in place. Getting the procedure in place would take time. The article was linked on boxingscene somewhere. Right now there is already another body that is completely independent, not a pawn of the Mayweathers, that can do the testing - the USADA. To be honest, I don't think the Nevada commission would want to do this testing. It's more expensive and all it means to them is more cancelled fights, and the possibility of losing fights to other states with more lax rules.

And I don't think the blood test is actually inferior, they probably contract those tests out to a non state-run facility anyway. The only issue is that their blood tests are not random, from what I can understand. The international olympic committee created the world anti-doping agency, and that agency is considered to have the best drug testing program in the world. I see no reason why all professional athlete's should not be held to that standard.

This will create a precedent and could cause a lot of problem in the beginning. If they are going to adapt then they should have been years ago.Not just because Of Mayweathers whim.
I agree it is a slap in the Nevada State athletic governing body. And they should be the one's suing Mayweathers,Schaeffer,GBP.

So, as a sports fan, you're telling me that you don't want to make sure the sport is clean? You're saying that because it wasn't done before, then it shouldn't be done now? You're basically saying "better never than late." Who cares if it happens because Mayweather wants it? I think he's an *******. Doesn't make a difference to me. Boxing is not a clean sport, and I've been hoping they'd do something like this a long time ago. And do you really seriously care about the Nevada athletic commission?

I don't think anyone doesn't want to make sure the sport stays clean, it's just funny how none of you gave a **** until it was convenient to make a boxer you dislike look bad.

But keep feigning how you're doing it for the love of the sport. You guys surely are some white knights.
