I would like to believe you Lefty but it is hard to redeem your reputation especially after the beating Manny is taking outside of the ring. I don't think Ali ever put Frazier through something like this (and Frazier hates Ali).

To me, it is almost equivalent to a woman accusing a man of ****. The man never gets rid of that accusation, even if he has his day in court and is found innocent of all charges.

These are two of the best fighters in the game both in tehir primes at the peak of their careers.

The fight was being pushed too soon to really do what needs to be done for a fight of this magnitude. The world tour, the press conferences interviews and other things that go along with fights like this. Some of my favorite stuff to watch about Ali vs Frazier was the pre fight hype where Ali is all wide eyed talking about Frazier and Frazier is gettng all hyped up saying you aint fighting so and so you fighting Joe Frazier....look at it this way...

Two reasons for all this hoopla one because Tim Bradley posses a threat and PAC still wants to fight FMJ just not in March. The second reason is because Paulie is a good tune up for PAC. He moves well uses his jab and has very fast hands. It can give PAC more time to prepare for FMJ and learn how to cut off the ring. This whole ROIDS thing is a ploy for both fighters to postpone the fight gie more tie for a build up and a world tour. This is big bucks and it was too quick for it to happen. This is the smarter business move. In the end PAC will test and be clean and they will both fight. Boxing will look like a good clean sport the fight will be better promoted and have more of a climax all leading to more $$$$$......Lefty
march was definitley too soon. I was against that from the jump. Now I want it in march because I really think Manny is on something and the truth needs to come to the light now. this has been the most irrational couple weeks ever. who throws away a guaranteed 25 M for some random blood test????

and his fans have been the worst....trhey have come up with too many excuse to even name! They guy is full of tattoos but he scared of needles. Now he will take the test...it's just ridiculous!

You really think a fight of this magnitude needs to get hyped like this?

It's destroying Pac's legacy and boxing in general.

Yeah, this is likely a huge promo to get the public's juices flowing (no pun intended).

One thing that can't be denied is that hype and controversy sells and sells big.

And as far as Tyson-Lewis, Tyson was a worn out shell of himself. Just another name on Lewis' record for posterity.

This is rubbish because non of the fighters will stay undefeated forever. What happens if Manny gets beaten, the stock goes downhill like Judah.Arum knows the time to fight is now, there's no more time to build Manny.Manny just happens to be juiced up that's all. He's not humble,he's not clean and he's not good

But truth be told Paulie hjust doesn't have anough in his right hand to do so. I think the two pre fight fight opponents chose by both sides fit the bill perfectly. Matt Hatt a somewhat GBP fighter picked as a favor to Ricky. Both Ricky GBP and MP get a piece of that pie. Mat gets a big pay day. Also Paulie running his mouth promoted by DiBella who is in bed with MP and Al Haymon as DiBella also promotes Berto. Some casual fans do not know all this so to them they don't see any connection to MP on either side. It is all set up to lead to the big dance and also put money in the pockets of the partners and other promoters in the meantime. Remember the best thing a fighter can ever do for anotehr fighter is give them a fight or fight each other. In the end Paulie makes $$$ DiBella makes Money, GBP makes money, TOP RANK makes money and Mayweather prmotions makes money. Even the fight between Berto and Mosley has Mayweather's hands in it some way. GBp MP and Dibella all involed to some extent.....Lefty
As a business deal, what you wrote makes too much sense (as in dollars and cents too!). If these guys, GBP, MP, TR etc. actually thought this out my props to them. Additionally, this also means that we as fight fans don't stand a chance against these people who will take our money, when, where and how much they want to by "managing" fights.

Makes me want to stop watching boxing, lol.

i wholeheartedly disagree with using pacquiao's reputation as a clean fighter for promotion.

NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER AGREE TO IT.

Bob arum might be pushing 90 but he is not that senile just yet to use the steroid accusation as a way to hype up a fight. No athlete would ever agree to such a promotional ploy.

Steroid accusations is the modern day version of the scarlet letter, & being accused of steroid use is equivalent to being accused of being a communist in the time of joseph mcCarthy.
