When HBO televised "Pacquiao/Hatton 24/7" -- the four-part series that followed the build up to Pacquiao's second-round knockout of Ricky Hatton to win the junior welterweight title in Las Vegas last May -- it aired footage of Pacquiao taking a routine blood test as part of his pre-fight medical exam in Los Angeles.

The blood test was conducted approximately 14 days before the fight; it punches holes in Pacquiao's argument that giving blood inside 30 days of a fight negatively impacts his performance.

Arum was intrigued by the "24/7" scenario. He told Reuters on Monday that he was ready to move away from Mayweather and announce a new opponent on Tuesday for Pacquiao, but that was before the "24/7" scenario was brought to his attention.

THERE IS REALLY NO EXCUSE MAN COME ON

Says who you??? Sorry kid i would take the opinion of the Former Head of the NSAC (Dr goodman), The inventor of steriods (Victor conte) and the CEO of USADA who all said blood testing is the only way forward.

And i would take the opinion of the olympic committee who test for blood rather than urine.

so by fight night he wouldn't have anything to give him an edge in the fight. i think you are making excuses.you sound like floyd. nore excuses for him to duck another challenege. at least pac can fight mosley or someone else who is floyd going to fight? not cotto, mosley, pac, margarito or williams.

that in itself shows pac is not on anything if he was tested before. so he is going to make this fight with floyd a special case and down some steroids. i dont think so.

Testing has to be both blood and urine, and it has to be random. Otherwise, it can be gotten around.

If Ussain Bolt (track and field) of Jamaica or Michael Phelps (swimming) United States who are dominating there sports like Manny is doing out of the blue right now ever refused to comply with random drug testing people and the media would tear them to shreds until they proved they were clean. Why should Manny be any different and not comply as an elite athlete.
exactly. manny is lucky he's a boxer and not a athlete from a major sport. he would be on espn all day everyday.

Am still waiting for someone to explain to me how Pac doesnt know what Ariza give him to take in in training camp.
Its real simple Ray lol. He wants to be able to use the same excuse that Margocheato did when he got busted and said he didn't know what they did to his wraps so he is innocent. Or the Mosley one when he admitted to using peds but didn't know what he using at the time. You got to call a spade a spade *******s he's not God so you guys shouldn't have been praying to him like you are. He's a man just like everyone else he weaknesses, insecurities and lies and cheats like the next man. Where are these so called principles these *******s talk about when he was cheating on his wife smh.

He had blood drawn for a medical test -- doesn't mean it was screened for steroids.
