Mayweather never actually said any of these three guys' names himself. These names always came from someone else. Devon Alexander is a completely different situation. Maybe Mayweather isn't serious, but it actually came from him this time, not Golden Boy or any of these fighters camps.

Matt Hatt wasn't a trick, he was contacted by Golden boy to fight Mayweather. If the public would have gone for it, it would have happened but the TV companies likely turned it down.

Floyd wants the most money for the least risk, listen to his mental reasoning:
