SERIOUSLY WHY WAS ANYONE SURPISED? Hes been cherrypicking for a long time, now I REALLY believe he really has no intention of ever fighting pac all along! for who? for this bum who is even unheard here in UK? lmao

some boxing writer called this out a month ago (though *****s try to discredit him and his articles) and this writer has sources who are insiders from GBP and the 2 sources, paul williams trainer and bhop both told him floyd wasn't really keen on fighting pacman from the very beginning. he was instead hellbent on having a sparring sessions with lil matt! this must be so embarassing for the floyd fans lol.

One of the beauties about covering boxing is that most of the characters involved are directly and often brutally honest – and so a reporter frequently learns interesting and intriguing facts. But then sometimes the reporter discovers big news when he least expects it.

This is what happened to yours truly on Wednesday at the Paul Williams – Sergio Martinez press conference. At the end of the conference I wanted to ask one of the world’s best trainers, who was present due to his involvement on Saturday night, what his thoughts were on how Mayweather vs. Pacquoiao would play out and who would prevail?

“It isn’t gonna happen,” stated the source in a certain and matter of fact tone. Semi-surprised to hear such a revelation I pressed for more. “It isn’t gonna happen” is all he would say.

But it was the convincing and doubtless tone that was striking. And this source is directly connected to a key figure from Team Mayweather, by way of a mutual advisor. Now if anyone needs a bigger hint than that…

The source also added, “And do you know who Mayweather wants to fight next?” I answered as we both chuckled, Matthew Hatton.

if you really believe that then............you need helpppppppp! floyd has somehow conveniently managed to not fight the best fighters at welterweight- margarito, mosley, cotto, pac, or williams not to mention almost every other top welterweight. his excuses for not fighting them all conflict with each other its so hypocritical. keep waiting........

Personally, I'd disagree. It was very close. This fight would be an epic mis-match...

Shane ducked Floyd for years,Shane had toothe ache excuses and vacation excuses,He called out Cotto at 140 his team said he was nt ready,He gave Margarito a chance after Zab lost to Baldomir, Marg did not want to give the superstar Shot gun Gomez step aside money. And floyd got bigger money options then Wiliams right now but maybe down the line it`ll happen. Now lets talk about pac avoidance of black fighters?Oh yeah i forgot i`m talking to a *******,waste of time.

Is it possible that all the hype these negotiations generated have lead the promoters to agree to sign something for the fall and leave out the type of testing for now. In the meantime, both figthers want to fight an interim bout to stay sharp. Give Pacquiao some rounds vs Malignaggi and let Mayweather have his rounds in England vs M. Hatten. Then, let Pacquiao run his election for Congress in May. Then, after a year of anticipation and cooler heads prevail, we will revisit this fight and the anicipation will make everybody even hungrier for this fight in September. I'm sure by then either the Nevada Commission or the camps could work out an agreement that allows randam blood testing up to around 10 days before the fight.
