The questions will linger on, fighting Malinaggi only makes it worse because he made accusations in the past do you think no one is goign to talk about that or ask him about that? Paulie is a loud mouth people expect him to not answer truthfully?

Also it is a money fight for Paulie of course he would take it he wants to get paid this is the best quickest route, not like Floyd can't get very good paydays elsewhere equal to what Manny will make against Paulie.

History will also show that Mayweather started at the welterweight division in 2005 and in a span of five years did not face Cotto,Margarito,Shane, PWill,Clottey and any other top rated welterweights, opting instead to participate in "event" fights that while padding his bank account did very little for his legacy.

Lance Armstrong is presumed to have taken PEDs as well but having never tested positive once, his legacy remains intact, the same will be said for Pac unless of course the rumors turn out to be true.

What's indefensible to me and many others is that while Pac/Malignaggi is being balked at by boxing fans, I guarantee that if Mayweather faces Matthew Hatton as was his original intent, his fans will be fine with that and find a reason to excuse yet another mismatch.

So far the excuses have been.

1. Needle Phobia (no issues before, and Manny even snacks during tat work)
2. Disruptive to his training (Yet Shooting movies, preparing for concerts not an issue)
3. Will make him weak LOL.......
4. Superstitions LOL...... this one really they must have been joking...or must of been lost in translation.....
5. Manny was disrespected and will not then do the test out of principle (yet they looking at Paulie as an option LOL......)

Though I hate to see Pac-Malignaggi fight, I think this is somewhat a tuneup safety first fight for Pac prior to fighting Berto-Mosley winner. Also a possible compromise fight with Mayweather in September. We all know Pac will have some very short hectic schedule going in to this fight with the PI election coming.

Clarification...clear difference between defending a fighter and being an apologist for a fighter, you fall in the latter category.

When Sugar Ray Leonard originally retired and decided to make his first comeback, after being away a few years from the sport, he opted to face Marvin Hagler and everyone seemed to think Leonard had a death wish and little to no chance in lasting past 6 rounds.

Mayweather coming out of semi-retirement rather than facing a legitimate "welterweight" threat his first fight back, opts instead to take on a man two weight divisions below him and in addition to that comes in over the agreed upon weight, giving him yet another advantage on fight night. Mayweather appears rather content to seek advantages rather than real challenges.

Now I give no credence to Manny taking on De La Hoya but he followed that up with Cotto and has only been at the welterweight limit for a year, contrast that with someone who has been there for five years and didn't face Margarito,Cotto, Clottey, PWill,Mosley...hell even Berto or Collazo as a comeback fight would have seemed acceptable.

Thats what I was getting at by saying even when Team Pac has looked past Mayweather, Haters continue to use his (Mayweather's) name and bash because they cant defend WHY Pac is "ducking" Mayweather for Malignaggi...

If this was the other way around....... wow.....
