Why is Bob Arum adamant on the fight being DEAD?

Bob could give a **** about Mayweather.. he doesn't like him one bit and they have a very sour past. He knows he doesn't need Mayweather to make money with Pacquiao either.
Pacquiao is the biggest thing in the sport right now, whatever he does will sell.

Some might read that as a shot at Mayweather but it really says more about Bob Arum than anything else.


Remember the 25 million guarantee Bob was going to award Pac for the Mayweather fight?

I think Bob was having second thoughts about giving Manny enough money to retire on. Thats why hes trying his damnedest to kill the fight.

HBO need to step up and Tell Arum make the damn fight or none of his fighters can fight on their network. Top Rank and bitter old man Bob Arum are doing a great job of screwing up the biggest fight of my lifetime.

1) roach said mayweather wouldn't fight in march - mayweather accepts the fight for march.

2) mayweather would demand the lion's share of the purse - mayweather agrees to a 50-50 split.

4) camp pacquiao comes up with an aggregeous "10 million dollar penalty," for every pound mayweather weighs in over 147 - mayweather accepts stipulation.

5) team pacquiao and top rank pull from the negotiation, over the issue of "random" drug testing.....manny pacquiao decides to file a lawsuit against GBP & the mayweathers, citing "defamation" - BUT top rank begins negotiations with paulie malinaggi, another fighter who has been vocal about his su****ions about manny taking PED's.

I totally forgot about that excuse. For months Arum said the fight wouldnt happen because Mayweather wants 60/40. Mayweather shut that myth down in the first hours of serious talks. lol

Im beginning to think that not only does Bob hate this from a financial standpoint but he is a little scared about how game Mayweather is about fighting Pacquiao. He thinks Mayweather is going to win!
