You have missed the point entirely of this whole thread. TS was comparing SSM to Tarver and Floyd to RJJ. Who cares who would win it doesn't matter here as far as I am concerned. SSM in fact could ko any ww who ever fought if he tagged him right Floyd though is different from RJJ because he is not just a speed and reflexes guy. which is why it wouldn't work the same even though Tarver was slower than Roy but still put him to sleep. The difference between Roy and Floyd was learned skills ......jeez, sorry you had to think a little abstractly here.

Shane Mosley NEEDS to continuously tag his opponents with repeated hail mary right hands through out the fight to KO them...he is very predictable....and vs a fighter like Mayweather I dont see how that can be effective....

I didn't make the thread and don't think it is a good comparison either. Floyd would most likely win on points but the threat of a ko or kd would always be there as Shane is still a strong fighter.

You did an honest mistake and forgot that Traver is a southpaw and Roy Jones is unorthodox(or was atm).

Mosley is right handed and Floyd Mayweather Jr has a defensive style not a showboating style. It would be nothing like Tarver/Jones II.

Mosely and Cotto was a damn close fight, and at the time cotto was the man at 147.

Mosely under estimated Cotto's jab imo but then he worked him out and cotto was running for 3 rounds and to me lost those rounds

We'll know exactly what Mosley has left after he fights Berto!!I've heard hbo talk about Berto's speed like it was lightning fast,then I seen Collazo match his speed easily!!What I'm saying is if Mosley matches Berto's speed & beats him,floyd's speed will be next in line!!If Mosley can match floyd's speed,defense alone will not win against Mosley!!I don't recall floyd fighting anyone,that can be compaired to Mosley!!The closest thing was an old Oscar whom he barely beat!!
