Nah, I think Pavlik does better against Martinez than he does against Williams because of his power. Martinez is slick and fast, but he is hittable and most importantly his offense isn't nearly as good as Williams. Williams would beat Pavlik by keeping him on the defensive. Pavlik has more KO power than Williams in one punch so I think he could knock Martinez out easier than Paul could. I can't believe people are putting so much emphasis on the fact that Williams struggled with a fighter who is the EXACT OPPOSITE of Pavlik. Williams would still murder Pavlik, who stands up like a totem pole just begging Paul to put hands all over him.

It's a styles thing. Paul rips up Pavlik. Martinez does fairly well against Paul. Pavlik knocks Martinez out.

Williams destroys either Pavlik or Martinez. The only reason Martinez was competitive in the first match was Paul trained for an orthodox fighter, and Paul STILL won clearly. A Williams-Martinez rematch will look just like the Williams-Quintana rematch. That's why Martinez doesn't want it.

Paul is the #2 PFP fighter in the world. Pavlik and Martinez are mediocrities.

Aye dont get me wrong i'm a big P.Will fan but I think Martinez throws straigter punches more cosistantly and thats what Taylor hurt Pavlik with. but either of these 2 guy beats Pavlik easily

I thought Pavlik wanted the WINNER of Williams and Martinez....he better take a few looks at Martinez, because Sergio has a style that will frustrate Pavlik more than Williams would.

Williams volume and determination beats Pavlik. Martinez's slickness and straight punches beat Pavlik. well lets just wait and see if his staff infection comes back like last time he was supposed to fight a guy named Sergio{mora}and the 2 times he was supposed to fight P.Will

Wow this sounds dellusional. I'm a big P-Will fan love his style but he lost that fight Martinez won clearly 8-4 or 7-5. I've seen the fight three times and I can't justify Pwill winning. Both these guys should be top p4p in my opinion, but please don't compare Martinez to Quintana. Quintana is a B to Martinez's A. Martinez is just too fast for P-will he can't overwhelm him like he did Quintana in the rematch. A rematch would be another close fight and they both beat Pavlik.

I'd definitely go with Sergio here, I want to see this if Paul Williams is a moron asking for 50-50 from Kelly Pavlik.

Pavlik nor his camp has no major desire to redeem him and take a big fight.

So is Williams going to be considered ducking Martinez if Pavlik fights him first? Williams should be asking Martinez for a rematch to avenge that L he should've received. At the very least to remove any doubt about who is the better fighter between them.
