evander Holyfield:a look at his career

forget him being a undisputed cruiserweight champ but look at his heavyweight career.he's been living off his name since the toney fight.he's fought 13 former world champions going 11-8-2(many late in his career),he's been in 19 world title fights going 10-7-2.he's 2-0 in eliminators.he's beat 10 former world champions.his resume includes fights with foreman(2time champ),Douglas(former undisputed champ),michael dokes(1title),pinklon Thomas(1title),holmes(old but 2 titles),bowe(1 title)three fights,moorer(2 titles)twice,Tyson(2 title reigns,1 as undisputed champ)twice,lennox(2 title reigns, former undisputed champ)twice,ruiz(2titles)3 times,Byrd(2titles),ibragimov(1title),valuev(2titl es).he's fought contenders toney,oquendo,Rahman(2titles),mercer.his other notible opponents were alex Stewart twice, bert cooper, bean, savarese, former cw champ bobby czyz, tillis.he also beat adilson rodriguez who at the time was top 10 in a recognized organization.he's fought everyone almost.nice career too bad he's broke & needs to keep fighting...although following the larry donald loss he said he would fight until he's 50...he's what 47?

He is a legend. I think he should stop now, because his speech has definitely changed over the years.

A lot of people tend to overlook him because of how he gets overshadowed by the Tyson ear-biting incident (whenever people think of Evander, they think Tyson), but to me, I look up to the guy. I don't know to many fighters in the past century who have been able and willing to fight the best of the best.

Holy needs to retire but he is one of the VERY FEW who was, is, and probably always will be willing to face ANY and EVERYONE. he really is "the real deal"
