why would sturm fight eastman a british fighter in america? why would he fight solimon in america? hes an aussie? arthur abrahm has been fighting in germany why go to america? didnt ikeke just fight 2 weeks ago? taylor is fighting hopkins and tito is fighting winky, mayorga just pulled outta his fight, and vargas has a title fight for the wbc light middle crown. maybe its u he needs to do some reading and research.

i guess sturm really doesnt have that great of selection but there are better fighter he could fight like daniel santos if he moves up but i dunno maybe sturm should wait a month or two so he could get some better fights. btw what happened to mayorga

Sturm fights in Germany because that's where the money is for him right now. Noone of USA mainstream fans give a **** about him. Sadly he's not in the position to demand a respectable payday against a credible opponent because all he is known for in the USA is outpointing an out of shape DLH.

That being said I really don't like this matchup. He's takeing steps backwards. After he beat Bert Schenk there really should've been a fight to demonstrate his claim of being the No.1 Contender. If Eastmen is available and willing to fight I don't see a reason why that fight shouldn't be made. He's gotta prove himself. And a win over Eastmen would give him some credit and a better position in possible future PPV matchups.

Right now he's a (very) high risk for a relativly low payday in the USA. Why should anyone want to fight him? And dont you try to convince me that the WBA will change anything. As long as Hopkins is the champ and second class athletes like Masoe hold it the so called title isn't even worth mentioning.

Frazier was a good decision after DLH, Cherifi was ok to keep him active and in the news, Schenk was acceptable because of his accomplishments but Masoe is a step down. If Felix is serious about becoming the undisputed middleweight Champion he's gotta prove his ambitions. And if you look at it like that his upcoming bout is a No-Win situation ...once again.

This coming of a great Felix Sturm fan who defended him over and over on this very same forum. I'm not being hypercritical I'd just like my man to be an exception of the rule and actually fight the best on a regular basis. Sad to be dissapointed in his last fights.

if he wants a title shot then this fight is good for him cause it will make him number 1 in the wba. theres really no one for him to fight. eastman and solimon or the only people at this time i can see fighting him but the likly hood of those matches just doesnt seem to be there. if they wont fight ya make em

In a way Strum is his own worst enemy. His biggest fight, the oscar fight was the worst fight for him. Why? Because the Hopkins fight had been signed for De La Hoya and the fight between he and sturm was in Vegas. He`d have to knock Oscar down 4 times in every round to get a draw in Vegas. I`m suprised the judges had it so close because of risk of oscar losing. HBO would have been ****ed if Sturm won that fight and I guess Sturm`s camp should have realized it. Now no one wants to fight him because he`s good and being a German figher doesn`t help him. Only if Sturm was a mandatory would he get a title match.
