i know that. the belts put him in postion to get all 4 belts and the ring belt then if that doesnt maek him the champ, then why have belts?

this fight couldnt possibly put sturm in position to grab the ring belt.

all boxing commisions are a joke, the people know who the champ is. the only reason those commisions exist is to create a bargaining chip in fighter negotiations and thats the truth...thats why we have belts.

Sturm is the #1 contender for the WBO so if he holds onto that spot for long enough and Hopkins does not Vacate he should eventually get a shot a Hopkins via the mandatory. I would love to see Sturm fight one of the top middle weights in the world. One great fight would be Sturm vs Kelly Pavlick. Given that Pavlick beats Quartey which he will.

Okay, Sturm rules....i got question for you.... i don't want to start a thread on this so i'll just ask this here.

How did you score the DLH vs Sturm fight? i had for DLH by one point, and i thought it could have been a draw or a one point win by sturm. Sturm had a great jab than DLH, and used it more as an offensive weapon than a setup or even a defensive punch. Yet, becuase Sturm failed to use the openings created by his Jab i think he lost his window to win convincingly. Your opinion?

Ikeke was mentioned, soliman, abrahams, eastman, all good fights with nard and taylor tied up.

im not criticising sturm for taking this fight but its easy for him, this match.

to say this gets him a shot at one of the big 4 belts (well i consider 3 cos the WBO may as well be called the Universum belt since Warren has gone the WBU route)is ridiculous.
