hasim Rahman:a look at his career

Rahman has had a very solid career.many people criticize him.at one point he fought tua twice, maskaev, corrie sanders, lennox twice, ruiz in a 6 year span.he has fought 6 different current or former world champions.he's 2-6 in those fights.he's been in in 7 title fights going 2-4-1.he's been in 4 eliminatiors going 1-2-1.his resume includes fights with former champ berbick, obed Sullivan(90's gatekeeper),tua twice, maskaev twice, corrie sanders, lennox twice,Holyfield,ruiz,meehan,Barrett(2000's gatekeeper,2 time title challenger),toney twice , wladimir klitschko...another solid career.good career earnings.how motivated would you be after fighting lennox twice followed by Holyfield & tua.that's called building a nice bank account.

Yeah, he was pretty good back in like 1999 when he weighed around 235. Fast for a guy his size and always had the power to get you out of there if you made a mistake.

He didn't have a particularly good career. All he really has is that one punch wonder over Lewis.

Aside from that, he has a string of bad losses, and **** performances.

No disrespect to the guy, he had some balls taking on Wladimir at his age, on short notice and in Germany.

But he is an overrated fighter.

He made the most of what he had, he got his chance at the top and didn't blow it. Sure he will be viewed as a 1 hit wonder but not many can claim they have a ko win over an ATG HW like Lewis and the record will always state that he does.

for whatever reason he had difficulties fighting maskaev.he's had some good fights along with some lackluster ones.2good fights with lennox,2 decent fights with maskaev,2 decent fights with tua, strange one vs Holyfield.think the mass swelling or dramatic knockouts of his fights with lennox or when maskaev knocked him out of the ring.the riot broke out & the flying chair hitting Steve smoger...great stuff!

his all out brawl with corrie sanders was another good fight...he's actually been pretty good.he had faults but otherwise was a perennial contender.

I based my assessment on watching 29 of Rahman fights in their entirety.his time from fighting berbick to wlad.
