Setting the record straight on Pac-May Drug Issue
Collapse

Pac has agreed to unscheduled/random testing.
What he's asking for is a cutoff date:.
They can test his blood ANYTIME up to that cutoff date, and whereas
arum aimed for a 30-days-before-fight=night cutoff, and Roach has
mentioned 5 days before fight night, all Pac has said so far is that blood
not be taken less than a day before the fight.
WTF is the difference between 24 hrs and 48 from a testing point of view?
What enhancers could he take in that 24 hour window that COULDN'T be
picked up by combo of urine tests AND immediate post-fight bloodtest?

I want one person to tell me the difference from having a blood test 24hours before the fight, or directly after the fight??? Not one person on boxingscene who is against Manny can answer this. And don't say that the HGH will leave his system that quiick. You are a ***** if you think this.
The ref can raise Pac's right hand, if he emerged victorious, while his left hand is holding a bottle for his piss, and someone is taking blood samples from his left arm, all at the same time. No ****in difference...Comment

The Mayweathers want testing to be possible anytime up to fight night,
and furthermore want USADA to handle testing: one problem there is
that WSADA likes to draw more blood than is actually needed for actual
testing --to store enough of it as samples for future testing (with future,
yet-to-be-invented technology). Another real concern is that WSADA's
baselines for certain substances are so low that one can't rule out
false positives (hence the numerous legal challenges in court).
Most here don't know that a lot of "illegal" traces occur NATURALLY
in the human body as metabolites, or naturally synthesized. (For
example:if you test on a dead body for cyanide you will ALWAYS
find it, because CN naturally occurs: do you cry murder on every
postive result?). The key is in what thresholds are established for
interpreting results, and again, the accusation has been made that
WSADA's thresholds are excessively low.
If it was up to me: no blood should be drawn closer than five days to
fight night. Blood test immediately after the fight, and the chain of
custody for all blood samples should be agreeable to BOTH parties,
not simply dictated by one as non-negotiable.

Somebody posted this in another thread. Any claims of ineffectiveness tied to HGH right now are inconclusive. This user posted some article trying to support the the claim HGH doesn't work on its own and it backfired. The truth is it hasn't been studied at the level pro athletes dose at to determine its own pros/cons. Speculating insiders say it works based on what pros are telling them and like steroids in the beginning science isn't caught up on all the details.Comment

OK, so I just watched his interview with ABS-CBN. Manny said he is willing to be subjected to random drug testing since it really isn't an issue BUT NOT ON THE DAY OF FIGHT. That should be sufficient enough for the Mayweathe/GBP camp. If that is not enough, let's call the fight off. A lot of people are getting stressed over this, including me.
Here's the interview by the way:

Ontop of that, they also don't understand that steroids can stay in your system for quite awhile. A lot of people in high school/university do them. And from what I hear, they can stay in your system from 4 months, to a year. (The good steriods that is). All depends on how you take it, what type it is, and how fast you metabolise.Comment
