For example, i'm a reporter and i report that elmalo29 is gay. i have no evidence but it has affected public perception. everyone in boxingscene thinks you are gay. you lost potential good karma's because everyone thinks you are gay.

Pacquiao uses roids. No proof. Strong case because it has affected public perception even though there is no proof. his evidence, press releases that gbp his rejection of usada testing is the result of him hiding something

    ps. you are the idiot

      What?

      Legal definition of slander

slander n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed. Slander is a civil wrong (tort) and can be the basis for a lawsuit. Damages (payoff for worth) for slander may be limited to actual (special) damages unless there is malicious intent, since such damages are usually difficult to specify and harder to prove. Some statements such as an untrue accusation of having committed a crime, having a loathsome disease, or being unable to perform one's occupation are treated as slander per se since the harm and malice are obvious, and therefore usually result in general and even punitive damage recovery by the person harmed. Words spoken over the air on television or radio are treated as libel (written defamation) and not slander on the theory that broadcasting reaches a large audience as much if not more than printed publications.

Turns out this is a libel case if anything. Nope. Still don't see anything on how you can condemn someone for an opinion.

How can you sue someone for breach of a contract you didn't sign?

Not looking at the names, just at the sport like any other, those who actually participate in sports know that urine test is not so diffucult to cheat, from removing the urine with a catether and inserting water or clean urine (ask bodybuilders) to cleaning the system beforehand to even damaging the sample with other products ingested. And even without that, look at cases like Sugar Shane Mosley. When did he test positive? Yet he admitted to using performance enhancinf substances. You have all these other sports that dont pay a fraction in a lifetime of competition of what Manny stands to do that night, and they are subjected to Olympic Style ramdom testing, and Manny can't do it for one fight? For a guaranteed $25 milliom plus sponsors plus PPV? I was a fan of Manny. But he is an ambassador of the sport, and if he cant man up and show the world hes for real, he is casting doubt upon himself and the sport. If hes clean, just prove it. If not, go join Mosley, Vargas, Margarito, Luis Resto, Chavez junior and the rest of the cheaters. He honestly cant expect the fans to beleive the needle story and that a mere sample of blood leaves you weakened. If that were the case, how come Lance Armstrong had to give samples almost every day in competition and still won 7 tour de France? The needle story sounds like the Arum bitchin when Margarito got caught.
EXCELLENT POST! You explained that very well and I couldn't have said it better!

          • It's sad that the real fight must happen in court room rather than on live TV.

But if that's how they prefer it to go down, so be it.

In the courts, Team Mayweather will show that Floyd was also willing to undergo the same exact tests as Manny. Simply, it would've been a two-way street. Not one.

Despite the NSAC's thorough testing procedures (protocols), several boxers were found guilty of using performance enhancers to get an illegal edge in their fights. This shows Floyd has a right to be concerned for his safety in the ring. Manny has never tested positive for any drugs, so they can't prove he ever took them.

The burden of proof (defamation, slander, libel) lies with Pacquiao to show, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Team Mayweather directly accused Manny of using (utilizing) PED's to help enhance his performance in training and in the ring.

I'm not an attorney, so this is just my opinion.

If Team Mayweather and GBP is found liable of such accusations which may have hurt Pacquiao's image in the public eye, then they must bear the burden of proving the "accusations" had merit without sufficient evidence.

The question is: Were they direct accusations or speculative opinion on their part?

In the end, the real losers will be the fans who missed out on, potentially, the biggest fight of the decade.

Baseball has one of the strictest drug policies, it just wasn't really in place until 3 years ago.

                • Money Mayweather may already won the batte of mind games but $$$$ wise he is a loser. I really think Mayweather know that the PACMAN is this sensitive otherwise he will be more lennient on his demand. Remember the man said its an easy fight for him. GB just added more fuel to the fire and the PACMAN got angry. I still think this fight can happen. What a drama.

                    Just a question....

Is there any athlete that was tested by the USADA prevented from competing in the olympics?

Does the USADA releases results of their test prior to the competition?.......

If the USADA test your blood 1 day before or during the day of the fight.....would they have the results immediately and prevent the fight from taking place?

                    If your answers are ....YES...

then, why are olympic winners allowed to compete then have their medals revoke several days after???

Of course Pacman would be upset over the issue especially if you knew for certain you took the right road to the top with hard work and accusations get thrown at you.. Floyd and those Golden Girls can talk all they want.. I promise you when Floyd gets in the ring with Pacquiao, Pacman is laying the beatdown with no mercy.. Its just fuel for Pacmans fire.... TRUST ME...
