Nate was "against" GBP, because their desire to not work with King affected his income. They were successful in keeping every marketable lightweight away from Nate (even though Nate had 3 titles), and just had all their guys keep fighting each other (Casa, Diaz, JMM, Katsidis, etc). And the one offer they made for a possible JMM fight wasnt really a true offer, and would have resulted in Nate being stripped of 2 of his titles due to how far away the proposed date was. Nate felt like they were deliberately freezing him out, which in theory they were.
However, after what we went through with King after the Guzman mess, and King's inability to provide any fights other than the Funeka mando (I made the Bradley fight with Shaw myself, and gave King a percentage basically just to not interfere with it), Nate started to see that King was the problem, not necessarily GBP. Nobody really wants to do anything with King, because he tries to complicate everything. So Nate kind of came around to the idea that maybe it wasn't all GBP's fault.
Sure, we dont agree with everything they do, and I doubt we ever will. But that holds true for every promoter in the game. But the bottom line is at this stage of his career, Nate needs to be with who can present him the most opportunities, and at the present time it's GBP.
