Explain to me what the problem is with giving blood the day before the fight?

That's what I'm saying! Unless someone invented a 5 hour steroid pill, it's impossible to slip through without getting detected. Two bloodtests within 2 days? Come on now! What else does he have to do?What are you talking about? That's what the testing is done for after immediately following the fight!
If many takes random blood & urine tests during camp, and tests the day before the fight as well as immediately after, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO?
Having blood tests on the actual day of the fight is absurd and again is pointless because taking roids/hgh/etc for one single day is pointless, especially considering they would give blood again as soon as the fight is finished.Comment

We don't, and there lies the problem. The Olympic doping agency can test the day before the fight and even on the actual day of the fight. They might not but they very well could. And that's the issue.
That's why I think a compromise is fair - have random blood tests during training camp, then once either 24-48 hours before the fight and one immediately after the fight. In order to do that they would need a different agency, and so far floyd is unwilling to do that.
A lot of people here don't see to understand the situation.
This is why I believe floyd is out of line in his demands.Comment

Uh, you make it sound like he hasn't explained it. Pacquaio doesn't feel 100% for a day or two after having blood drawn. When I went through Basic Training all sorts of people would pass out from a little blood drawn for tests, some big tough dudes even. People respond differently.
But for a ****** like you, no test will ever be good enough and will always have a question mark on it.Comment

First of all, Arum is the one that wants to dictate the schedule. Manny agreed to the random, plus a day before and immediately after the fight. He just doesn't want it the day of the fight. I think you can agree that is pretty reasonable. There in lies the problem though, they can't guarantee they won't draw blood on the day of the fight.Comment

You believe that crap? That says alot. Roach also said HGH can't be detected in the blood. Roach is such a liar, he should have no credibility in any of this.Uh, you make it sound like he hasn't explained it. Pacquaio doesn't feel 100% for a day or two after having blood drawn. I think the whole issue is the random aspect. You will do what you have to pass if you have an idea when you are being tested. Also the gap in time Arum was suggesting from the press conference to 30 days out to night of doesnt help because the test dates are known. At least this is what I have gathered so far.Comment

Then take out the word random because its not random anymore at that point which means the test would be almost like the test the NSAC would normally do on fighter, Which means if i want to hide something its easy for me to...No point of this test if it isnt random. We don't, and there lies the problem. The Olympic doping agency can test the day before the fight and even on the actual day of the fight. They might not but they very well could. And that's the issue.

If people want to back a fighter from getting test randomly by allowing a 48 hours cut off date then fine, I think its dodgy........
Never in any sport would a pro athlete ask for a 48 or 24 hours period when he wouldnt get tested because of................Comment
