You guys act like the tests performed by the boxing commissions are inadequate.

Apparently, the tests are inadequate because some boxers have been tested for years, yet later they've been caught cheating the system.
Now their names and records have a little star and question mark next to their names that they can never erase.Comment

I am viewing it objectively.. and so is Top Rank. Which is why they offered another testing agency. GBP has business ties with the one they are trying to use. They would treat Manny with biase.Mate... It's documented fact that urine tests are no where near as effective as blood and hair follicle tests. And even they are not infallible. Which is where the frequent and randomised test dates comes into play - to keep the athlete and their team on their toes, so they can never get the opportunity to use illegal PEDs.
It's not that difficult to wrap your head around if you take one moment to take a deep breath, step back, do some minor research, and view the situation objectively.
So why not test with the same people that do NFL and NBA testing? If it's good enough for basketball and football.. it's good enough for boxing!
you guys are just looking for excuses because of sou g****s.Comment

“Most states don’t test for steroids,” says Dr. Margaret Goodman, former Nevada Chief Ringside Physician and Chairman of the Nevada State Athletic Commission Medical Advisory Board. “In Nevada, we test fighters on championship cards. In New Jersey, they test every fighter for steroids. If we’d do what’s done in the Olympics or what the World Anti-Doping Agency recommends – sporadically test them during training – that would really be the best way. But if you check them right before or after a fight, they’ll test negative. Boxers are just as smart as anyone else and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to go online and look at how long a certain drug stays in your system.”

I just responded to your other post. Here, I'll quote it for you:I am viewing it objectively.. and so is Top Rank. Which is why they offered another testing agency. GBP has business ties with the one they are trying to use. They would treat Manny with biase.

Do some research before throwing wild accusations about bias around.Wrong. The USADA are the most reputable anti-doping agency in the USA and are heavily involved with the NFL, NBA, Olympics and just about whatever major sport you can think of. They are actually government funded. They're way above petty biases, especially with an organisation as small time in the grand scheme as Golden Boy Promotions.Comment

It can't get any clearer than that. This is Dr. Margaret Goodman, former Nevada Chief Ringside Physician and Chairman of the Nevada State Athletic Commission Medical Advisory Board.“Most states don’t test for steroids,” says Dr. Margaret Goodman, former Nevada Chief Ringside Physician and Chairman of the Nevada State Athletic Commission Medical Advisory Board. “In Nevada, we test fighters on championship cards. But I bet this is still not good enough.
We need more experts chiming in on this issue to set the record straight.
