If they won't agree on the fight now, why would they agree at a later date in 2010? This sounds like Arum is proving my su****ions correct -- namely that he/Pacquaio did not want the fight to take place before the Philipine election because he was afraid a loss would hurt his chances in the election. That is the only reason I can think of as to why Arum would say we won't fight now, but maybe later in 2010. Floyd's camp will demand the same test "later" in 2010 as they are demanding now.

Right. Pac only wants to fight a guy who will allow him to dictate all the terms of the fight and just be thankful for the privilege of fighting the "great Manny Pacquaio."

lol. all haters now are crying. hahaha. you all know that the main reason that this fight isnt happening its because of mayweathers new rule in boxing. hahaha. hope this fight wont happen so that floyd will cry. anyway pac can retire with secure top 10atg while floyd is struggling to enter a top 50 atg. hahaha

I never believed it was dead. I have always felt that Arum and Pac didn't want to fight Mayweather next. They want to wait until after the election because they fear a loss would hurt his chances of getting elected to the Philipine senate. I think they want an easy fight before the election to hype his popularity. An "eighth world title" at 154 would accomplish that. That was Arum's plan all along. No way will Pac fight Pauli. The media, the fans and the people in the Phillipines would crucify him when Bradley and JMM are all available if they refuse (and that is exactly what it woudl be if he backs out) to fight Mayweather.

PAC will not be building his legacy by fighting Pauli the clown. This is a backward move. He should consider the other great fighters out there. Bradley is good if PAC can go down to 140. He can also fight Cintron, another aggressive fighter. Or he can rematch Marquez at 140 and finish the business with him. Or how about Clottey...****, that guy will put PAC to the test. I don't even know why Arum would even go down and consider the Brooklyn clown.

That's a very good point that a lot of people are missing. I work with several Filipinos though, and they told me Manny has tried before in local bi-Elections, they told me he didn't do very well. They said even though he's really popular as a boxer and a national banner the public are fickle about public office. Seems to me they prefer corrupt leaders.
