Of course. If he did that I would rate him very highly. But let's face facts, Ricky Hatton's not what he once was. He's taken far too many punches. His best night was against tszyu, an awesome performance, since then he's been slowly rolling down the hill.

I already have a lot of respect for Hatton and I think highly of him as a pro boxer.

Honestly, outside of Castillo, no other boxer had as much success against Floyd like Ricky did. I got Floyd as a top 5 fighter of alltime (skillwise) and it's no shame losing to someone as talented as him.

Matter of a fact outside of Pacquiao, what fight showed that Ricky couldn't take a punch?

Not every other fighter. Barrera, Morales and De La Hoya were already legends by the time Pacquiao beat them. Hatton, however, had only accumulated the tricky Tszyu win, a tricky win over Collazo, a blowout over a shot Castillo, a devastating loss to Mayweather, and a blowout over a pillow-fisted Malignaggi. Had Hatton have beaten Pacquiao, his legacy would've been solidified - but because he went out so badly, it's tarnished him forever IMO.

And I'm a fan as much as anyone.

I'll definitely agree there. I can't remember how I scored it (I'll have to give it another go sometime), but I didn't have Mayweather very far ahead going into the mid-/later rounds.

Collazo had him rocked badly, and apparently (I can barely remember the fight) Lazcano did as well.

Right now, he's nearly the nearly man if that makes sense...
Do me a favour, Hatton in his prime or even slightly past it would have smashed Bradley. He also dominated 140 for over four years so how is he ''nearly the nearly man''??

Wheather or not this version of Hatton can still beat Tim is questionable but I would make him the favourite - I would love to see that fight over Khan late 2010 if Ricky beats Marquez in May.

I don't consider Hatton a "garbage" fighter at all. He is like the peoples champ, he loves a couple of pints and a large serving of fish and chips, he has little short ass arms, he has no business being a succesful boxer and yet he was a very succesful one.

Besides Mayweather and Pacquiao, Hatton never faced someone as good as Bradley. Tszyu was past it, so was Castillo, and Urango can be very easy to beat. I genuinely think Bradley would give any version of Hatton serious problems - albeit not of the stoppage variety.

Peoples' champion, great. But it can't be ignored that he sets a poor example of how a boxer should live their life, and that's always been a gripe of mine when it concerns auld Richard. Granted, a boxer's duty isn't to be role model, but since they're getting paid to perform out there, there should be some responsibility over their heads on how to be a good athlete - with his horrendous habits outside of the ring, he just isn't.

                Bradley, on the other hand...

Wouldn't bother me so much if he stopped with the excuses & ass load of promises he can't keep.

I mean seriously, sell your house and bet your Mortage on me?, 2nd round KO ... next day having a party beside a pool ontop of a Casino.
