I didnt see the fight on ESPN so how did he look. Estrada is solid and it sounds like Shane did good but I think the young Shane wouldve ran through this guy and KO him in 5. He said in the pre fight interviews that even if he hurt him he would try to make the fight last longer, so was that the reason or did Shane just not look the same anymore?
I wasnt Impressed,he pulled a solid UD,but when ever shane made a mistake,Estrada was there to pop him,and it made you wonder what kind of position shane would be in with a much bigger puncher, or with someone far more skilled. But this was shanes first fight back at that weight, and i think he'll look better in his next fight,i think he was testing the waters with estrada.

It certainly was not the performance you were hoping for if you were a big Sugar Shane guy but I think he did fine for his first fight back at 147.

I thought David Estrada was going to give Shane hell, I even put a few bucks on David as well.

The outcome was never really in doubt and if you can take away 1 thing from this fight that may be the difference maker for Shane was his body work.

Estrada is as tough a fighter as you will find at 147 and he was in agony with Shane's body attack. In the second fight with Oscar, Shane seriously hurt Oscar too the body as well.

Granted he did not recognize that Estrada was finished which he will definately see on tape but this is his bread and butter. Shane can probably hurt any fighter in the division too the body...this should be his focus! If he focuses to the body all of us cult fans no that others areas of his game will begin to open up.

yeah, mosleys still building his confidents up. i really feel that using the roids knocked down his self worth starting with the dlh fights.leading him to make the wrong adjustment round by round in his fights. its as if the roids made him more jerky, throwing single power punches, acting macho stepping straight back and watching after throwing ablow, headhunting instead of combos'. and he seemed to go the route of conserving energy for later rounds as if there was a stamina problem. he's on the upside now and is getting better every fight.he's hungry and focused. i feel that even a rebounding mosley can't be hurt by a"new focused judah".judah just don'tst have the power or the smarts.but zab could be dangerous

I can't believe Mosley carried that bum the distance. He had to have seen that his body shots were ****ing Estrada up. I mean damn, Estrada had no defense whatsoever for the body shots. A lot of guys don't like the body shot knockouts but it beats a decision.

Yeah Shane got hit a good bit too much by Estrada too. I've been saying that I think Zab could beat Mosley. I'm glad Shane proved me right Saturday. Hope he gets better than that **** before Zab fights him cause I don't want to hear all the bull**** excuses from the Zab haters when Judah beats Mosley.

mosley isn't the same like was said he doesn't put punches together anymore its like he think to much in the ring, he needs to use his reflexes like he use to, that's what happend to jones, hes relying on his eyes to much, they need to use the foot work and put punches together like they use to, that intimidated alot of fighters and made them confused and mosley could hit them all day from all angles! mosley and older fighter now they way he boxes

You can't go back in time. Mosley is now in a position where he has to use what he has left the best he can to make up for what he's lost.

I should flame you, but I have a small amount of respect for you, since you changed your name from _the_rippuh to a real name, so I'll try to be as nice as possible while showing you reality.

David Estrada is realistically between B+ and A-, but he's an A- in my opinion because the guy doesn't duck anyone. He reminds me of a real fighter. He faced and beat down Smith, and Sulymon...two undefeated fighters, back to back...no problem. Now I know Sulymon isn't really anything to brag about, and he fights ugly, but the man was undefeated. When interviewed before his fight with Chris Smith, a calm, collected Estrada responded to Teddy Atlas like a champion:

Teddy: "So, David, nice to meet you, are you nervous about fighting Chris Smith, an undefeated prospect, next week?"

David: "You know what..that doesn't impress me. The last guy I fought was undefeated too and I beat him...he's just another opponent for me to take down."

the man has the attitude of a future champion, and his fights are never ugly. every single time you see Estrada fight, you'll notice it is not a boring fight at all. This is because this sonofabitch relentlessly brings the pain, and he does it properly, since Angelo Dundee, the man who was behind Ali in Ali's greatest years, is behind Estrada.

I expect Estrada to come back from that loss and become champion.
