Very good post, I'm with you on this. Regardless if Pac is on roids or not, floyd is definiately hurting the sport by doing this. And in fact, like others have said, you would be shocked to find out how many guys are on roids. If you are to believe some people's words, probably 80-90% of boxers use illegal substances. If that's the case, you would get to the point of the MLB which is who really cares at that point? Now, I understand how someone like floyd could want to have more strict tests in place. But I think this is entirely the wrong way of doing it. You don't do it right before the biggest fight on the planet, imo.

From what I've read, he's not refusing to take the blood test, he just doesn't want it so close to the fight. I believe he's agreed to take the blood tests in Jan, before the press conference, and immediately after the fight and all the urine he can produce within that timespan. I really don't believe he's hiding anything, he just feels that he would be weakened if blood is drawn so close to the fight. If he's on something, it would definitely show up some time there.

I think this should be done from now on. We need to either legalize Peds and Roids or demand more effient testing. Its an eye opener just like the margs wraps were

My whole thing is with what mayweather is doing and his timing. If this was a concern of his, he should have talked about this years ago and lobbied for it, got congress involved, etc. because even if we say pac is on roids, he surely isn't alone.

Explain to me how this is helping boxing? Bad publicity already started. The fight is potentially canceled and if it is canceled even more negative attention to the sport.

By mayweather asking for these types of tests will not do anything for the sport in the long run. The USDA is NOT going to oversee boxing from now on and test every single fighter from here on out. Do you really think the government will put up millions of dollars each year so these tests could be done on every fighter? Do you think the promoters will? lol no way in hell.
