Have you given up on Joan Guzman?

Inactivity, weight issues, and a mediocre performance against Funeka have me questioning if this guy will ever really make his mark.

Have you given up on Guzman or do you still see some promise?

He looked good in the first few rounds. Maybe it was more Funeka then Guzman?

He'd still beat a lot of guys at 130-135, but it seems as though he was kinda (and I hate to use this term) exposed by Funeka. If he really wants to be taken seriously again, he needs to be fighting a lot next year - I mean 4 times at least, including any tune-ups if need be.

So he pretty much lost his "0". I don't think it's reason to ditch him yet. People are so fickle in the world of boxing, it's ridiculous...

Not yet. He was doing okay before the cut opened up on his eye, against Funeka.

hes suppose to be more elite than funeka,,,,

props to funeka... but guzman should have been able to box him off if he was that good....

                Hell Yeah!
The funny thing is a few of his Dominican supporters were saying before the Funeka fight, this is his last shot. Then **** we all know what happened draw or not.
Now what? one fight next year? who cares?

That cut changed the fight. Sort of like Diaz-Campbell. Diaz never was the same after the cut.

Honestly, If he fought and beat Katsidis, I would give him his props. Thats one fight I wouldnt mind seeing.
