I'm watching a few tapes of fights and began to pay attention to the referees. Some of them have no personality whatsoever.
My favorite ref. is Mills "Lets Get It On" Lane, sure miss the little guy and Lawrence Cole is my least favorite.
What about you guys, who is your fav. ref.?


BTW, I'm watching the Camacho Jr vs Leija fight. That CamachoJr. what a puss.

I hate Jay Nady...he always stops fights way to ****in early
like Zab-Tszyu even though Tszyu would've beat him most likely

but that PISSES me off when the refs dont even give a chance for the fighter to get up when they werent even takin a beating

I especially don't like Richard Steele and Joe Cortez who demand way too much respect..

I still can't forgive Richard Steele for his stoppage on Meldrick Taylor VS Julio Cesar Chavez.

and u all need to let up on jay nady on that zab thing. the man did a wierd as sdance then fell like he was really hurt if u look at jay's reaction after zab fell he was like o **** this mans really hurt. then after wards u can tell by his face he knew he messed up but he was really concerned about zab after he did that

eddie cotton is good and so is that vic draqulike or whatever his last name is kidna liek draqula, he did the acre-hussien fight

mills lane is the ****in man

who else in the history of refereeing would see someones ear get bitten half off, then call a warning for it, like it's a lowblow or a headbutt haha,and allow the ****ing fight to continue, ahahhahaha, I love that guy. plus you know Lane is hard because he was once a contender himself..

"He just bit off a piece of his ear, no big deal. Neutral corner! 5 minutes to rest! You ready? Fight!"

nady and cortez are good because they have a little size though, I could see them as better refs for heavyweight fights

Anyone who thinks that was a quick stoppage has no idea what they're talking about.

No one but Nadey saw into Judah's eyes, and Nadey said they were cloudy and non responsive. Thise guys are trained to recognize the signs of a bad concussion, and there's no doubt Judah was concussed.

Judah apologized to Nadey for his actions, and thanked him for stopping it at his hearing.

There was nothing wrong with that stoppage.

I thought the rules are (or so did the HBO commentators mentioned) that if you are knocked down, get up and fall again.. that's a stoppage
