Like I said, it wasn't that long ago. His first fight at 130 was Barrera in 2007. Before that, he was at 126 for his entire career. That's 50 fights below 130, only 6 above 130, and only one of those was a WW fight. He weighed 142lbs for that.

Great fighters can beat guys bigger then themselves.

Agree. A small great man can beat a good bigger one.

Still, great welterweights shouldn't entertain call-outs from career super featherweights who are getting knocked around at 135.

If you spent 22 months away from boxing...and your looking to get back in the swing of things you do.

Realistically though, he ain't even been out of the gym much. He could have taken on a decent welterweight.

Marquez had a much thicker torso than Floyd though. He put weight on the wrong way

"being in the gym" and fighting real fights are two different things......

The Date was uppose to be July 19th........

The only TWO people avilible were Moskey and JMM.

You dont fight the Number 1 ranked WW...after 22 months away from the sport.

                  You take a tune up.

Look at those muscles with veins rushing through them, his arms are alot longer/bigger than Marquez.
wow that is some bull****. i'm surpise Floyd did not ask for the fight to be at 154 lbs and 10oz gloves. Floyd did get his "wiggle room" tho, by coming in overweight
