Of course he is no Ibeabuchi, not yet. He is a different kind of fighter. Slower, but stronger and harder hitting. A lot more heart I think. He hasn't been really tested yet but Peter is going to be the next Marciano I think. He's boxing skills are limited but he'll make up for it in heart, chin, and raw power. Look to see him get outboxed by the first contender he faces, and then pull himself out of the fire with one punch. It will happen.

And really, it won't be hard for him to surpass Ike. All he needs to do is defeat more than two opponents ranked in the top ten and then resist becoming criminally insane and raping someone. Somehow I think he can handle it.

It's still open to speculation but that's my opinion. Other than the Byrd stoppage, Ike has never proven to me that he's a huge puncher. On the way up Sam had a better KO % than Ike, even though they both faced similar opposition. Marion Wilson (9-20-3) survived the distance with Ike only two fights before Tua.

Peter hasn't been extended by opponents of that caliber. He has gone ten rounds before, but only against guys like Shufford who is MUCH better than Wilson. Sam's opponents might not be of the highest caliber, but he has blown almost all of them away.

it's speed times the mass, any guy who weighs 245lbs and has hands as fast as ibeabuchi is going to have devastating punching power. did you see his home run shot in the third round against bryd which just missed? also byrd has never been hurt like that since, although he's been knocked down, marion wilson has never been knocked out by anybody,at this point in time i would class the ibeabuchi of 1997-1999 as better in every department than peter. i agree with most of your posts achilles but saying ibeabuchi's power is overated, i don't agree with
