lol "what can being drained do to you"
Not the first two round when you're nice and fresh. When you're pump up for a fight, even if you're drained you could still perform close to your normal self.

ODLH was in the best shape of his life. His training prep at Big Bear was a success and his team made sure that he was well conditioned by his "High Tech" training regimen and nutritional fortification. There is absolutely no need for all these excuses of a "Weight-drained" De La Hoya to be circulated in order to downplay the victory of the Pacman. Oscar was overwhelmed by a faster, more powerful opponent. There is nothing else to say about that. JAT

Oscar weighed in @ 145lbs for the fight vs Manny Pacquiao....the last time he was that low in weight was vs Julio Cesar Chavez where he weighed 144½lbs & that was in September of 1998.

Everyone thought it was a joke fight but I didnt. The reason I didnt is because I thought Pac was clearly a better fighter than Forbes and that Oscar looked horrible against Forbes at 150. Some were fools and thought Oscar looked good but I thought he looked like crap and so did alot of others. If you watch the Forbes fight then you will see that he got hit clean by Forbes more than like all his fights put together. After the fight his face was all bruised up like he had fought Tyson.

I told everyone if Oscar looked like that at 150 then people are insane if they think he's going to look better at 147. I said he's going to look bad at WW and add that to the fact that Pac is way bigger than you guys think, he will win. I said Pac fights at the lower weights but he still comes into the ring at 147 pounds. He's just as big as Forbes and he is faster & hits harder. Thats why I picked Pac way before anyone else and thats why I think you are wrong. Just look at Oscar vs Mayorga, then Oscar vs Floyd, and then go look at Oscar dropping down to 150 against Forbes. He was much worst in that fight compared to what he looked like against Mayorga & Floyd even though they are better than Forbes. I actually thought Forbes looked like he was going to beat him or stop him a few times

            Great Stuff....

He couldn't even raise his arms long enough to throw punches.

He was a total zombie. If Packy fans really wanna believe that was anything resembling Oscar, then god bless.

Dude, De La Hoya was perfectly well going to the PAC fight. All these ****ers (*****s, haters, even Oscar himself) have always feed their mind that De La Hoya was totally shot and that he turned old overnight. What a crap they're line of reasoning that is. Whatever happened to the Oscar-Forbes fight where De La Hoya according to boxing writers looked better than ever. Whatever happened to what Nacho and Rob Garcia were saying in the 24/7 that Oscar is in the camp and in the best shape of his life. All these reasons are pathetic...

have u even seen the fight? maybe dlh stopped throwing and looked like that because of the VICIOUS body punches and EXCESSIVE amount of flush shots to the chin.

the only reason oscar stood up is because he has one hell of a chin.
