Pavlik would rather stay in the MW division and beat up on bums rather than move up and fight the top guys at SMW.

Lets face it pavlik is not that good, if he fought Bute or any of the guys in the super six he would've got his ass handed to him.

No Pavlik pulled a ***** move by going after a 44 year old man, and trying to drain him 5 whole pounds all the way down to 170, just 2 shy of the super middle weight division. Hopkins who had to cut weight at that age still took his soul, shutting him out in the process, and almost KOing him.

I haven't heard anything about Pavlik ducking Bute. And how is a guy who is "champion" in one weight class ducking a "champion" in a different weight?

hopkins fought smaller guys cuz he already cleaned up the entire division and there werent any MWs left to challenge him for his undisputed crown, so he too on smaller guys coming up to test their luck. just like what went down with hagler in the 80s.

bute doest excactly have that problem at 168.

Yeah, I'm just a biased Pavlik hater. I know. Hey, why was his hand fine enough to KO this stooge but not good enough to fight Williams a couple of weeks ago? Williams deserves a bigger split of the purse than was proposed before. That's right. Maybe not the lion's share, but definitely a better deal than what was on the table before.

Pre-Martinez, Pavlik didn't want any parts of Williams. Some people are honestly believing his hand was messed up that long.

Because Lucian Bute gives him movement? Angles? Doesn't stand infront of him to be target practice for his 1-2?

Also, Lucian is at 168 now. I don't know if Pavlik would want to move up again.
