Pavlik has a very good chance to KO Paul Williams. I don't think he could win a decision because it is simply very hard to win rounds against a guy like Paul Williams, but Paul loves to brawl and Pavlik would get plenty of chances to land his big punches.

      Food for thought:

Mayweather would beat the **** out of Lockett, Rubio and Espino.

Where you get the impression that I said or implied Williams being multi-dimensional or style is beyond me... What was actually said is that Williams can take the fight wherever he wants because Pavlik doesn't seem to have great ring generalship.

Espino walked into his kitchen, Pavlik obliged, even though the game plan was to keep him at a distance.

I gave no fighter an absolute "the other guy has no chance type of shot", so I don't know why you're saying I'm massively overestimating Williams, unless you think he has no shot, which would be pretty dumb of you.
        Pavlik isn't a 37 yr old Wright.

I still disagree with your assesment of PW's ability to fight from the outside. Also, even if he did he won't be able to box or keep Pavlik at a distance.

We'll bet when the fight gets made if you want. I like Pavlik, i'm not some massive super fan though but in regards to their styles and abilities i have a rather strong & set opinion on how this will turn out.

          Is he white? Check.

          Is he Eastern European? Ehhhhh...

Thus, he's only a marginal fan of the fighter.

          **** off, Mik. Bitchass.

I have no idea who any of those three are, so Mayweather may beat them, but if Pavlik is still anything like the guy that beat Jermain Taylor twice, then he could beat Paul Williams, its not anything near the cake walk some people think.

Evey time Pavlik wins, its a storm of posters who cant stand him. He won last last night so they cling to the idea of Willaims and Abraham beating him. The thing about Abraham is, his best wins are Kelly Pavlik left overs. No only that but it took him 28 rounds to get a KO on Taylor and Miranda. Something Pavlik did in 14 rounds.

Will see what happens with Willaims. If he comes to fight hes going to lose.

Wright is still a pretty good fighter, he retired #10 on most P4P lists and had/has one of the best jabs in boxing (a jab that didn't/couldn't land because PW kept him at a distance and used constant lateral movement).

If Pavlik tries to pressure Williams, it'll look like the Margarito fight. The difference being that instead of just overwhelming Pavlik with combinations, he should throw a bit less and and use lateral movement (like the Winky fight). If Williams does that he'll win, if he doesn't he might get stopped.

So like I said earlier, when the matchup is better boxer vs. puncher's chance, I go with the better boxer. IMO it'll be a FOTY candidate, so it'll be close either way. We can bet.

What i was implying is that i'm not a "fanboy" who is incapable of being objective when analyzing a potential matchup. You know, like alot of Pac, Floyd and PW superfans.

You're obviously to intellectually challenged to decipher my comment though.

Well i must say, your post is perhaps the best case that i'v seen someone make on here when giving an argument for why they think PW's style could beat Pavlik.

                      i still disagree though lol
