Hard one to pick I was just comparing the two records .Mayweather's got a decent win over DelaHoya at 154 .I think Mayweather would adapt skill wise probably and be too good defeceively. Mayweather ud against Forrest for me.
Prime vernon forrest or Quartey v.s floyd who wins?

WTF are you talkin about? It has nothing to do with Pac, fool. I said that I might wouldve picked Ike & Vernon before his retirment because I dont think Floyd was big enough to beat them. I said I have to wait until after the Pac fight to see how he looks physicaly at the weight now before I can make a sound judgment. I said that from the JMM fight he looks bigger now so it makes my pick lean towards Floyd but I will know more after the Pac fight. You are the one that came with that career FW **** so dont try to twist it like I brought up Pac on some other type ****. After you said that is when I explained where Im coming from when you try to play Pac as a little FW and Floyd a big WW. Dont be a clown about **** man or else talk that **** to someone else. BTW, I had edited my last post to add a couple of sentences right before you must have sent your last post back. Go back and read the bottom of the last post I made. Its also funny how you say that I spin stuff towards Floyd but you dont see yourself as spinning stuff against him on every topic. I just told you that I probably wouldve picked those 2 against him before stuff and I said thats why he wouldnt fight Cotto & Margarito but Im being a homer? Seriously, STFU
you base your argument on floyds return........................performance against ........................ JMM.........he filled up his WW frame nicely because of that...lol.......you said im making pac look innocent..........
i cant STFU its my thread homeboy

How am I basing it off of JMM when I said I want to wait? Even if you dont think Floyd proved anything by beating JMM, even the haterz say that his frame looked better. Are you denying that? Either way, is that something for you to clown me about? I made my stance clear. I said that I didnt think he was big enough to beat those guys before retirment but if he's bigger now then he could now compete with them. I dont get how you can clown me for saying that. It dont even make sense. I just didnt like the way you came at me for that when I wasnt even saying anything out of the ordinary. Its not like Floyd's skill is in question against anyone. To me its more of a matter of size at anything above 140 so thats why I said that. Floyd cant come in at 146 and beat any of those guys but at 152 or 153, it changes things. You dont think those 6 or 7 pounds matter at all? Its hugeLast edited by DLT; 12-20-2009, 08:44 AM.Comment

for the record you mentioned PAC first when its clearly a VIPER v.s. MONEY thread..............Comment

Come on man, I didnt mention Pac. I said I want to wait until after the Pac fight to make a better judgment because Pac is bigger than JMM and he definatly has power like a real WW and is faster than pretty much all of them. It will give me a better assesment. Its not like Floyd's skill is in question against anyone. To me its more of a matter of size at anything above 140 so thats why I said that. Floyd cant come in at 146 and beat any of those guys but at 152 or 153, it changes things. You dont think those 6 or 7 pounds matter at all? Its huge. I dont believe he was anything crazy like 160 like some people think he was against JMM.
I remember back in the day when Forrest lost to Mayorga and Vernon was upset about not getting fights. Roger Mayweather said that no one is going to fight Vernon if he has nothing to offer. Roger respected Vernon a ton and said that he would be a super tough fight for Floyd so Floyd wont fight him if he dont have a belt to offer and is not a big money fighter. He said thats why guys wont fight him now. He has to become a bigger star or get a belt. I agreed with Roger about him giving Floyd hell but I felt that way about nearly any good WW at that time because I just thought Floyd was too slight at the weightLast edited by DLT; 12-20-2009, 08:48 AM.Comment

Again dude, dont try to make it sound like Pac is the little innoncent kid and Floyd is the super HW Mike Tyson like killer. Floyd has not only been P4P the best guy in boxing but he's been P4P the smallest. Go look at his in-fight weights for all his fights since he left SFW. Dude never put on any weight until recently. He was only a WW by name and because he wanted to chase Oscar. He had like 3 straight fights at WW where he came into the ring at 146 pounds at the same exact time Pac was at SFW coming into the ring at 147 against EM.
I cant believe how people overlook that ****. He's not much bigger than Pac. Dont act like Floyd didnt come from the lower weights either. Again, his skills are nothing to talk about. His skills beat Forrest & Quartay any day. What I want to see is how big he is and how comfortable he looks at the weight physicaly. Lets not make it sound like Ike & Vernon were unbeatable. They werent. With that being said, youre right in that I might have to wait until his next fight against a Mosley or whoever to get a real picture of how he holds up physicaly at the weight. I still might would rather fight someone like Clottey before Mosley if Im Floyd. He's huge but he's not going to physicaly overpower you like a Mosley couldComment

You dont have to repeat the post, I obviously know what I wrote but the question is why did I write that? I wrote it because I honestly thought you were talking about Pac when you made the blown up FW comment. Otherwise, why would you make the comment? Obviously now I know you were reffering to JMM but that never crossed my mind because that comment seemed so out of place. Why would you say based on beating a blown up FW when I was just talking strictly about his frame and I already said that IDK how true it is so Id rather wait until his next fight or a fight with Mosley. Its like you are talking more about the opponent he beat in JMM while Im talking strictly about his size because skill wise he can obviously compete with Ike & Vernon. All in all it just seems like there was a misunderstandingAgain dude, dont try to make it sound like Pac is the little innoncent kid and Floyd is the super HW Mike Tyson like killer. how can you pick floyd when the jury is still out..........in his WW run?............I got no argument with floyd competing..........i just cant see him............forcing forrest to be reckless.....with his shoulder roll................Comment

well the jury is out on Forrest too. I mean he did lose twice to Mayorga who he is more skilled than and most think he lost to Ike wether you think he was past his prime or whatever. The jury definatly is out on Floyd's WW run and thats why I said that he would probably lose before but I think if Floyd is finally of weight and comfortable then I dont think the jury will be out. I always thought there was a 130-140 pound Floyd who could fight anyone and history and I think he would fight anyone at that weight, including guys like Sweet Pea or whoever. I said that was the cut off though and at WW I think he would struggle to beat great fighters and could lose to average guys at 154. I felt he was not only too small at WW but I felt that his body looked forced at WW which made him look slower and everything. No prob... a little misunderstanding i guess............

Now though if he gets to 153 or so then I think it may sound crazy but he could be faster because he's not forced now. I think he could start to look at WW like he did at 140 but thats why I need one more fight to tell. I actually think JMM was better than most think at WW its just that Floyd was a bad matchup and neither were going to take too many risk. The Pac fight will tell us more. I agree with you about the Vernon jab before the retirment but if Im right and he starts looking like the 140 pound Floyd again then I dont think Vernon's jab will overly bother him. I think it would actually be a great matchup. I dont think Floyd uses the shoulder roll a ton in that fight. I think he will go into it on D but I dont think he uses it for O like he did basically the whole JMM fight. I think he would use more of a speed stance kind of like he will use against Pac. He can do that against Vernon because Vernon is a righty and I just dont see hardly any righty in history hitting a prime Maywether clean. I think he has mastered his D that wellComment
