if you're walking around at 155-160+, you're giving up more than 2 pounds of your walk around weight. not only that but cotto was having a hard time as it is making 146, as time passes by it doesn't become any easier. ask mayweather if it's easy for him to make 145 anymore, a guy who used to fight at much lower classes... fighters will tell you it gets harder as they continue to go up in weight to lose it and stay as strong as they were a few years ago in that exact same weight.
Nonsense. If Cotto had a hard time making 146, why didn't he just come in at 147 for his other Welterweight fights? Cotto himself said he had no weight issues.

As far as Floyd, he hardly ever re-hydrated more than 5 pounds for a fight. He rehydrated about 1 pound for Judah, and Floyd actually lost 3 pounds after the weigh-in against Oscar. So he is a naturally smaller guy who is not use to cutting much weight. He basically didn't want to put himself at risk like 99% of the other fighters that have to cut weight. Fighters who don't make weight at the weigh-in make an effort to bring the weight down. Floyd acted like nothing was wrong during the Marquez weigh-in and didn't even try.
