TWO POUNDS IS NOTHING!!! im tired of all this weight ****!

why do people keep ****ting on pacquiao and mayweather about weight?

so what if pacquiao fought cotto at a catchweight? it was only 2 pounds.

so what if mayweather did not fight marquez at the catchweight? it was only 2 pounds.

    get over it....

        it's not 2 pounds n00b, it's not that simple.

if you're walking around at 155-160+, you're giving up more than 2 pounds of your walk around weight. not only that but cotto was having a hard time as it is making 146, as time passes by it doesn't become any easier. ask mayweather if it's easy for him to make 145 anymore, a guy who used to fight at much lower classes... fighters will tell you it gets harder as they continue to go up in weight to lose it and stay as strong as they were a few years ago in that exact same weight.

Try not signing the contract before you do that.

Miguel Cotto agreed to 145 because he knew he could make it without too much effort.

i think your missing the point, but most people that are limited will miss it
                no harm no foul
if it was not a big deal pac would have simply fought at the champs weight.

Well Cotto did make 146 for Clottey, and the Pac fight was only a few months after, so from 146 to 145 wasn't that much. He looked OK at 145, he started out even faster than usual, and the gassing out was around his norm too.
                  (around 6)

As for May, he was inactive for around 2 years, so it would be a bit difficult.

Like the TS said though, its a dead issue, both bouts had Cotto and May performing like weight was no issue, so it shouldn't be an issue now.
