My official Mayweather-Pacquiao analysis and prediction

i dont see that much clinching going on in this as Pac is not known for being in fights that involve a lot of clinching....the biggest similarity of these two fighters is that they have very hard styles to adjust to, especially mayweather. which is one of the main reasons they are so hard to beat. im expecting this to start out like a chess match. pacquiao will flick his double jab while mayweather feints and looks for openings. mayweather starts throwing his signature leaping left hook over pacquiaos right jab. pacquiao will start to let his straight left hand go and will find some success with it early but mayweather will use his awkward defense to slip it. by about the 5th round mayweather will have completely adjusted to pacquiao and will start mounting a consistent offense. mayweather will be in his comfort zone and will consistently shoot the straight right hand and left hook, and when pacquiao gets close mayweather will clinch him. mayweather will cruise to a UD. scores will be like 116-112. at the end of the day mayweather will have to much speed, footwork and angles for pacquiao.
the clinch game will be gone on this one ...Pac throws very short fast hooks and uppercuts instead of clinching ...
this might be 3rd or 4th place for next year's FOTY ... but
no fight with Mayweather will ever be fight of the year ... same goes with JMM ...Comment

That's what I was saying earlier today. I get sick of seeing the same prediction on how Mayweather will adjust by round 4 and then dominate Pacquiao, earning a UD. I think it's a load of bollocks (no offense to anyone) and nobody has any imagination, they just think it'll be a re-run of the Judah fight or something. I don't believe Mayweather will deal with Pacquiao the same way he dealt with everyone else.
Of course, it can happen, but we've seen the same prediction about 5,000 times already. Personally, I think a split decision is not unlikely, probably a controversial one.

I gotta say that the more i think about it I see Floyd being very well capable of taking full control of this fight after the first 4 or 5 rounds and beating Pac in a UD, that's just how it goes, floyd is too intelligent in the ring. Pac is going to have to fight as hard as possible to make Floyd constantly uncomfortable every round, stay moving in and out quick and using his straights(both to the body and head), faints and footspeed, If he fights the perfect fight it will be legendary, like SRL/Duran, and I think Pac is very capable of this as well. Whoever wins this fight it's because they are the better fight.Comment

Pac has more speed, More Power & better footwork than Floyd!! Your analysis were wrong from the start!!!the biggest similarity of these two fighters is that they have very hard styles to adjust to, especially mayweather. which is one of the main reasons they are so hard to beat. im expecting this to start out like a chess match. pacquiao will flick his double jab while mayweather feints and looks for openings. mayweather starts throwing his signature leaping left hook over pacquiaos right jab. pacquiao will start to let his straight left hand go and will find some success with it early but mayweather will use his awkward defense to slip it. by about the 5th round mayweather will have completely adjusted to pacquiao and will start mounting a consistent offense. mayweather will be in his comfort zone and will consistently shoot the straight right hand and left hook, and when pacquiao gets close mayweather will clinch him. mayweather will cruise to a UD. scores will be like 116-112. at the end of the day mayweather will have to much speed, footwork and angles for pacquiao.Comment

so you're saying floyd has more power and speed than pac? I dont think so. Pac has more power, and slightly faster hands plus more combinations. floyds starts slow with just jabs, staights and hooks one punch at a time and will only throw combos when he sees that his opponent is hurt and he wont hurt pac easily. They both got skills evenly I would say just different style of skills.Comment
