    Help Me Understand Mr Haye

First of all, before all ya'll get your knickers in a twist, I want a decent discussion. So if your a bandwagon, came out of no where love David Haye, for reasons I cant explain than this is not for you.

So whats the deal with Haye?

Does he just want to make money? Or does he want an easy belt and an easy reign? Or does he want to be the best?

    1) If he wanted to prove that he is the best heavyweight. He woulda fought either Klitschko regardless of how many rematch clauses there were in the contract. If he was confident in himself, and he KNEW that he can beat the brothers, than the contract they offered him would be the best thing to happen to him.

Think about it. He is offered to fight two of the best heavies there are today, unify the division in one single contract. He'd have all his fights for a year taken care of. With the chance of coming out on top as the best heavy since Lennox 'definitely' Lewis.

    2) He wants money. Go back to point #1. No way to make more money than the klitschko contract. None. Klitschko and Haye, 3 fights.....I dunno how much $$$ that would generate in Germany/UK and Europe in general but I figure it could have set some record.

    3) Haye talks a lot of ****, gets an easy belt (which he did), fights shot fighters, like Ruiz post belt, and '.22 barrett' before Valuev, so he can get more ***** and make some money without having to put his face through plastic surgery.

And lastly, wont the man fight a legit top 10?

    Ruslan Chagaev
    Eddie Chambers
    Alexander Povetkin
    Tomasz Adamek
    Tony Thompson
    Juan Carlos Gomez
    Samuel Peter
    Chris Arreola
    Denis Boytsov
    Alexander Dimitrenko

Why not fight one of those guys? Im sure at least 2 from that list are available and willing.

I dont get Haye fans. WTF are you on his nuts for? You have an admiration for his physical attributes or something? You like the way he talks? Or them braids remind you of you getting all wet to Craig David songs...dem look alike.

At least Klitschkos, as boring and as much hate one can throw at them, fight undefeated live bodies any chance they get. They fight the best there is to offer, and they were willing to fight HAYE.

Bottom line is that, you cant attach any logic to any theory that attempts to justify one as being a Haye fan. Apart from the understandable, "Hayes a brit, Im a brit, I like the guy. Hes from my city block..." that so many for some odd reason are ashamed to admit.

I don't think so. This way he could have two easy fights (if the Ruiz-fight goes as planned), get some more experience in the HW division AND get a much better deal since he's bringing something to the table. He'll still get his shot I think, just 1 year later which will be much better for him imo.

No, I'm not the biggest Haye-fan. Far from it. But I think he has some interesting qualities and is good for the lousy HW division we're seeing today. Hopefully he can beat steroid-Vit or Wlad, but it'll be tough for him to do so.

Because 95% of the Heavyweights are fat and low skilled. Wlad is a boring fighter and Vitali is on his last legs. Valuev - less said the better, he would be nothing if he wasn't a giant.

Haye like many other boxers trash talk - why should this downgrade him? Hopkins had the flag situation, Mayweather talks trash etc etc. Haye has speed and power, he's an exciting fighter unlike the rest of the bums.

Don't we all hope for an exciting fighter to come and beat these giants who've controlled the HW division for years? I know I do.

The reasons for turning down Wlad and Vitali - Money.

Answer me this, which boxer would fight for 'free'? no fighter would.

I would respect him if he said "I want more experience at HW". Or if he would stop talking **** and just fighting guys showing people that hes feeling out the division.

But sorry boss, the **** dont fly.

The man came in saying off the bat that he wants to fight the best cause he's the best right this moment. Was offered that and picked a 7foot ruskie lumberjack instead.

So the above simply prove that Haye is a **** talker.

Again 'talking ****' - How many boxers do this? ffs are you a child or something?

Haye wasn't in the top 10 HW - yes? he would of have to prove himself which would of took a few fights. Instead, he trash talked the two brothers and they are mad at him and want to fight him.

          Only one winner there.

Talk all the **** you want, just back it up, not back out of it. Haye backed out.

He woulda made more out of a 3 fight klitschko contract than he will the rest of his HW career which will be over after either Klitschkos KOs his ass.

            So that dont fly either....

He has to fight Ruiz, when he agreed to fight Valuev the WBA said the winner MUST fight Ruiz in order to keep his belt and Haye was Valuev's voluntary defense.

He is the second ever fighter to make the jump from CW to HW and grab some hardware, with only 22 fights. He grabbed a CW belt with only 20 fights and unified right afterwards. Now I'm willing to bet after Ruiz he will fight a Klitschko granter he wins and Valuev doesn't have the option to an rematch after Ruiz.

His resume at only 23 fight is also impressive and everyone loves a knockout artist. He has fought:

Williams (former CW title holder at 10 fights in)
              Glen Kelly (shot)
Giacobbe Fragomeni (future CW title holder)
Jean Marc Mormeck (CW - WBC and WBA)
              Enzo Maccarinelli (CW - WBO)
              Monte Barrett (past it)
              Nikolai Valuev (HW - WBA)

All but one of those ended by KO.

                Come again?

I guess you meant to say that Haye talked his way into a fight with klitschko. Correct.

But he didnt fight them when he got the chance?

So what was the point in the first place?

He only got a percentage of the UK tv rights in the Klitschko contract, he got a percentage of everything in the Valuev one. He made a lot more money vs Valuev than he would have fighting the Klitschko's.

He got the TV rights, then the TV company that was behind him went bust and he was going to get paid nothing.
