I wonder what his thoughts on michael spinks was. He was 48-0 and was about to equal tie marciano's record and like marciano fought a light heavyweight champ on his 49th fight, Larry was fighting a light heavyweight champ. We all know what happened, holmes was beaten ia UD and was beaten by a hairline in a rematch.

BTW, Michael also KOd gerry cooney.

I remember very vividly what his thoughts are on those fights. At the time I thought Holmes was an asshole, when he said Marciano couldn't carry his jockstrap and that the judges (I may be wrong on this part) could kiss his black ass. But in retrospect, thats ALWAYS been Larry Holmes. Passionate and in no way able to sugar coat his emotion. He's never floundered between a good guy/bad guy persona. Always been real no matter who like it or not. That in itself deserves respect.

That interview is on my tv screen this very moment, i guess it pays to leave the tv on a sportschannel all night. it sounds hilarious just listening to his non-chalant discussions about it.

Larry has his good days and bad days, sometimes he will come across as a warm, kind hearted man and other days he will come across as a grumpy, spiteful old man.

I have to say tho,Larry's wife looks suprisingly good and young for her age.
