defending against takedowns is something rather easy to learn compared to actual grappling. But if it does go to the floor, about 80% chance Mayorga loses.
One thing you can do is take a look at the percentage of KO% done by strikes to the head and body and there's your % for Mayorga's chances.Comment

ummmm....no.
You go up against someone whose worked on his shoot or on throws since he was a kid, you're only chance against that is someone whose sprawl was developed at the same time or something near immaculate.
Last I checked. there's no high ranked wrestling teams in FLA.
Unless you want to count the Sunkist Kids.Comment

so you're saying its harder to learn how to defend against a take down than actual grappling and JJ?ummmm....no.

That is grappling. to be able not only defend a takedown, but to use that defense to one's advantage. Even if we're talking about the basic shoot/sprawl, if you successfully sprawl, you still have to get it to your advantage before your opponent successfully corrects the situation to his advantage.
It's like chess. You need to know how to handle situations two or three move ahead on the fly even with something reflexive as the shoot.Comment
