Who do you like in the Williams/Martinez rematch?

We all know he's not getting Packy, Floyd, and Shane. And Pavlik won't give him a money split he wants.

    That leaves Maravilla.

That rematch MUST happen in 2010. I think Martinez finally stops getting robbed in the U.S and wins that fight in another great match.

Goosen sounds like the only obstacle.

p.s I wonder who's got tougher luck in the states....Funeka or Martinez??

though I think Martinez won the first fight...

in a rematch, I favor Pdub...

Pdub was caught off guard by Serg's slickness, and troublesome style. He was a bit shellshocked early and then just went into grinding survival mode

In a rematch, he will be better prepared

You're pretty generous to a guy that got knocked all over the ring with flush shots.

Counterpunchers usually do better the second time around. It might be even easier for Sergio imo.

If Pdub trains to utilize all of his length and not fight down to sergio's level as he did all the time, Then Martinez will find it very difficult to hit Paul, unless he goes for the body..

And when you throw to the body, you are more vulnerable to being hit than when you throw to the head...

I favored Williams in the first fight, but I'm not so sure he can handle slick southpaws. Perhaps I was mislead by the second Quintana fight. Hindsight being 20/20, I should've known better.

              I'd favor Martinez.

Paul looked pretty damn good to me.

It had nothing to do with "fighting down" to Martinez level. He's just not as skilled as Martinez.

Williams will suffer permanent brain damage if he keeps taking flush shots like that. He already sounds punch drunk and slurred. No man's chin can remain unbroken - I think Martinez will take it next time.
