The TS has already his answer as to why Duran quit, and yet he doesn't buy it! You should have just started your thread by saying Duran was a coward!

Your agenda did not come out the way you wanted it to be!

Duran took it right away cause he needed the money and Leonard knew this thus not allowing DUran enough time to train and lose the weight properly. The rest is history. That victory is tainted since we all saw what happened when they were both at 100% and healthy. Duran whooped his ass. Leonard talked about all of this in his documentary. He even said something similiar about the Hagler fight where he saw Hagler was starting to slip and that's the ONLY reason he took the fight. What a *****.
and i agree. Leonard is a Great fighter, but some of his biggest wins were cherry picking.

he wasn't getting Outboxed, he was getting out showed.
If you watch the fight, all Leonard was doing was running and show boating. Why would you want to fight somebody who doesn't want to fight, show boats, made you get weight drain, your only fighting about 70 Percent from your last fight. All this was going through Durans head and he said "**** IT." i would of.

cause duran wasnt properly prepared for the fight, he was fat chubby and didnt train like he did in the first fight. He basically couldnt compete with Leonards speed cause he was in bad shape.

He figured why make myself a spectacle and quit

              2. Leonard was running and Duran was getting fustrated
              3. His warrior spirit told him that Leonard wasn't there to fight and he quit
              4. He had to take a ****
              5. Had stomach Cramps
              6. Didn't train like the first fight because he was so weight drained.
              7. Dropping from 230 to 147 wasn't healthy and made him slower and not as strong
              8. Leonard was show boating to much and running

He quit because he had no heart. He also wasn't a very good boxer. He got lucky in one fight against Leonard but after that, Leonard, Hearns and Hagler showed him four times straight he couldn't compete with true elite athletes.
