Yeah, Vitalis problem is that this is a truly awful era, I mean Lewis fought in an average era, but this is a terrible era, so he hasn't had anyone except from an old lewis to test himself against.
Where would you rank Vitali Klitschko among the ATG heavyweights?

I don't think the Klitschkos will ever receive the recognition they deserve.
The so-called "experts" like Raskin, Farhood, Kellerman etc. will say it's a bad era, like they discredit the Marciano era. But really, it's no worse or better than the other heavyweight eras.Comment

I voted top 15. I can't bring myself to put him above guys like Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes that were the Undisputed HW champ and ruled for years. Still Vitali is definitely a ATG and top 15 isn't bad at all considering the injuries he's endured and the 4 year period of inactivity.Comment

I voted top 5 because he doesn't have the best opponents but I think he could have potentially have beaten any of the ATGs prime for prime.Comment

Because 99% of current boxing fans have been alive to watch every era of HW boxing great point.....its the same as always, just a few fighters who are head and shoulders above the rest. It has always been that way but the myth is constantly perpetuated that there were these "golden eras" where a dozen great HWs were actively competing at one time.Comment

That's because 90% of people believe whatever the man on TV (Kellerman, Atlas, Bernstein) tells them.
Throughout history, 90% of people have been peasants who couldn't think for themselves.
The division is about the same as it always was. Tony Galento was worse than Arreola.Comment
