As an over-educated professional I value intelligence and knowledge but strength of will counts as well. It counts in the business world and it certainly counts in the boxing world. What counts in a Pac-Mayweather match-up is much more than simply who is a greater ring strategist.

Pac having Roach in his corner may simply equal out Mayweather's greatest strength.
This. Floyd's a smarter boxer/fighter, I won't differentiate those terms, and it's an advantage he has, but it isn't necessarily gonna win him the fight.

I think the argument behind Manny Pacquiao being so good has more to do with his speed and power than his ring intelligence. Taking nothing away from Manny, it's his exciting style, his quick hands, and his pop that have made him a superstar.

It doesn't matter if Floyd has better ring intelligence, theoretically, because Manny Pacquiao is very ferocious, a pressure fighter with the physical tools to back you up and the mental focus to go to war. I mean, that's the whole mystique behind him right now.

Floyd, again in theory, has a boxing style that gives him more time for reflection and analysis during the fight. Manny is too busy working on being offensive; trying to fight rather than box (traditionally). He's the type that is great at doing what he does. Maybe he needs more help from his corner than Floyd. Roach is more than qualified.

Either way, I'm not sure that'll be a factor in who wins this fight. Not when its all said and done.

Notice how she can never actually explain how Manny will win this, just keep repeating "Pretty boy will get a reality check JAT" and then posting that ****** slideshow.
Okay, here is a short synopsis: In the beginning of this fight, Floyd will be avoiding to his best abilities, the Pacman's aggressive engagement to fight. Pretty Boy's reluctance to engage Manny will result in "Boo's" coming from the spectators. As more and more boxing fans get disillusioned in Floyd's lack-luster performance, the Pacman steps up his game by "pot-shotting" Pretty Boy. As this progresses into the mid rounds, Mayweather is slowly but surely losing faith in his ability to thwart the fistic bombardments being inflicted on him.

In one of the rounds, the Pacman catches him with a right-hook to the temple forcing Floyd down onto the canvas. Only seconds remain in that round and Pretty Boy is saved by the bell. In the following round, the Pacman continues his ferocious attack on Mayweather forcing another knockdown. Floyd is now dazed and weak from the Pacman onslaught. Roger Mayweather is contemplating throwing in the towel but won't let his pride be vanquished. He allows the Pretty Boy to continue.

At around the 9th round, the Pacman takes his carefully orchestrated fight plan to the limits as he progressively "Breaks Down" Mayweather's will to continue in this fight. Blow after blow, Floyd is pounded against the ropes. His "Shoulder Roll" maneuver isn't fending off any of the Pacman's brutal assaults. As the end of the round approaches, Mayweather is caught off guard and is hit in the jaw by a "Bone-crushing" left hook which shudders him to the canvas for the final time.

The referee calls a quick halt to the fight and summons help from Mayweather's corner and the doctors at ringside. The Pacman goes to his corner and prays that Mayweather will be okay and not seriously hurt.

Ring Announcer Michael Buffer announces the Pacman as the winner by Knockout.

              yes.

while manny is definitely a "gifted" fighter, IQ wise, he doesn't compare....

maybe only bernard hopkins, at this point compare's with mayweather on a boxing IQ level.

I don't particularly want to change the conversation to politics -- but we did go in with a strategy. Notice how quickly Saddam was taken out of power. What we didn't have, according to arm chair soldiers, was an EXIT strategy.

As far as dealing with the aftermath -- there can be no pre-war strategy.
You deal with it the best you can.

And, going into a battle with a strategy of how to leave if things aren't working well has never been a high priority until the post-Vietnam chattering class decided that it was.

I almost don't know where to begin. It's ok to be rabid fan, but logic has to play in somewhere. Somewhere. When have you ever seen floyd distracted in the ring??? Have you ever seen floyd deviate from his gameplan or frustrated? Floyd sticks to his gameplan hell or high water. On the contrary, we've seen Manny get frustrated and reckless.

Pac is pot-shotting now???? I'm almost at a lost. It's almost a lost cause to discuss boxing with Pac fans. They're too new to the sport. Hopefully they will grow.

Oh well, I guess that I'm not a "Professional" Boxing Analyst like yourself. You did see the Pacman/ODLH fight right? What happened there? Those lightning shots of the Pacman will be felt by Mayweather or do you see it differently?
