In regards to Joshua Clottey, I think it would be fair to say that a little bit could have gone a long way with him in his career. Now 60 punches is of course just a rough estimation but over 3 fights, one less headbutt in a fight he was winning and a few more punches in about 4-5 rounds between two fights with Cotto and Margarito and I think Clottey could be undefeated and have a record of 38-0. He would also have an outstanding resume with wins over Baldomir, Cotto, Margarito, Corrales, Judah, in addition to Richard Gutierrez......Clottey is in my view one of the most skilled boxers in the world and has never been decisively beaten. He should have beaten all 3 of the fighters he lost to but he just doesn't do enough in close rounds and dropped the decisions and was QD'd once in a fight he was winning. I view the losses as really paper losses that wins over him proved very little in not anything for Baldo, Cotto, and Marg. I think this is the case with all losses on anyone's record in close fights. If Clottey did have a record of 38-0 in a few close fights mentioned where he did a little more would it change you opinion of him greatly?

That's what I find frustrating about Clottey, he had the skillset to win all those fights but it seemed like he lacked the fortitude to step on the gas, so to speak, in the last rounds of those fights to get the win. Almost as if he was content with just being competitive.

      That must be it.

Did the IBF stripped him because of the Cotto fight? who is his mandatory?

Pac should be wearing the WBO and IBF while the Mosley-Berto winner will have the WBA and WBC. It would be much easier to unify. Hwslayo just got kayoed in 3

      winner of ( pac-may ) vs ( Mosley-Berto ) will have the 3 belts (WBC,WBO,WBA).

      **** you IBF!

He gotta lay off the poon the day before the fight.

He needs to be abstinent for a week to get the killer's instinct back.

And maybe decide to punch people in the championship rounds in maybe say one of his fights would be nice.

Or you can look at it that Clottey finds a way to lose fights he could otherwise win.

To me he proved that he finds a way to come up short no matter how much it looks like he should win. He could still do some decent things but I think Clottey will always come up short when truly reaching for the brass ring.

He did not even open up in the championship rounds against Shamone Alvarez~ and it is not like Shamone really did anything to tire him out in rounds 1-10

Yeah, they wouldn't accept Cotto as a title defense. I think they wanted him to fight Delvin Rodriguez or someone like that instead.....so they stripped him.

Too much Ghananian booty I am telling you.

They cast a spell on him and he loses his drive.

They said he was ****in too much before his fight with Cotto, so I figure he proly loses his late round strength.

if he didn't lead with his head he would have derailed the baldomir express and saved us from a series of god awful fights. i will never forgive him for making baldomir-mayweather happen.
