In terms of skill and talent, yes, Floyd ranks among the greatest. But in terms of accomplishment, not as much.

He's like the brilliant kid in school whom you think could be a rocket scientist or a neurosurgeon someday, but settled himself to be a veterinarian instead. Still very respectable, but somewhat falls short of what you'd have expected him to be.

Others could make a better analogy, but that's just how I think of Floyd.

Floyd is 1 helluva boxer. When he adds Pacman to his resume he will have cemented himself as 1 of the best of this era but he still has more to prove to be the best ever.
