It ain't Nonito's fault for being ducked!

Agbeko would make no sense whatsoever at the moment since he holds no title belt. It would really be high-risk/no reward for Donaire. Yhonny Perez on the other hand would be a good fight for Donaire but with Gary Shaw pulling strings for Perez we'd much sooner see a vacated belt before that fight. You know what, I made a thread recently on the subject of the current Top 10 P4P rankings and listed Nonito as one of the fighters that should be kicked out of it, due to his inactivity and level of competition.
But, you know what, it ain't really Nonito's fault, each post-fight interviews after he just got done dispatching a bum. He has called out Arce and Montiel over and over again.
Montiel has gone on record that he wasn't gonna be able to do it, because he can no longer make the weight and Arce has never responded.
Darchinnyan's promoter until recently refused a rematch. There's really no other bankable fights for Nonito. In a perfect boxing world, I agree, it should be Nonito-Agbeko. But, he's a high-risk/low reward from a promoter's POV.Comment

You're right, but Nonito's m.o is that of a pot-shot artist. Even with his usual workrate, I just don't think it'll be enough against Montiel and a few others.Comment

What I'm trying to say is, if Nonito wants to have a strong showing against the top guys in whatever weightclass he fights in, he needs to do more than pot-shot.
The recent opposition he has faced, it's cool, he's able to cruise to victory with pot-shottin' and it's considered a dominating performance. But, someone like Montiel, like you said, is also a counter-puncher, chances are the scorecards are gonna be close.Comment

Watching Donaire's recent fights, I have noticed that he is often-times bored and disheartened by not getting the big fights he craves. He often loses focus and switches stances aimlessly and gets hit with big shots in the process. What I'm trying to say is, if Nonito wants to have a strong showing against the top guys in whatever weightclass he fights in, he needs to do more than pot-shot.

When he's on, like in the Raul Martinez and Darchinyan fights, he fights differently and lets his hands go much more.
I think Donaire fights to the level of his opposition sometimes.Comment
