Danny Green brings money green, that dollar dollar bill, that's what he brings. If the fight happens in Australia then Bhop will make between 6-7 million. Jones made a reported 4 million so Bhop will definitely make more. Bhop wont see that kind of money fighting Dawson or anyone else in the US. I wanted Jones to beat Green to finally have a rematch with Bhop, but since that is ruined, to me it does make sense to fight Green who messed up Bhop's "payback" with Jones. Plus he states that he wants to fight at HW, so what better way to get your body adjusted to moving up in weight. I do agree with everyone that he should fight the best LH which is Dawson, but to Bhop's defense...he's been doing this for years, he's almost 45 so if he's going to fight then he should want the most money he can get. I can't hate on the man for that.

as a looooonnnngggg time fan of bernard hopkins, i must say, if he takes this fight, i'll respect his skills still, but he'll lose me as a fan.....and i'm sure these mu****as don't really care about fans, but still.

You fellas dont realize that Bhop will not fight Dawson , he knows he would get beat badly , Green is beatable and brings more money for Bhop than he can get anywhere else right now and Green brings a CW title which Bhop was chasing with Adamek only Adamek dont bring 4 mill to the table .

Hopkings vs Dawson will be a battle of hugging and cheap shots on the inside. It'll be a ballet dance of the highest order. Two natural defensive counter fighters just doesn't make for an interesting battle.Comment

I have to ask who has Dawson fought? He fought Adamek and has been in a revolving door at the senior citizen center since. I just don't understand why I keep hearing that Hopkins has to fight Dawson. And when Calzaghe beat up on Hopkins and Jones he was considered by many to be over rated because he was fighting old men. And when Dawson, who happens to be a lot younger then Joe, beats up old men many seem to revere him as the next Michael Spinks or Bob Foster. And you all act as if there is no one for Dawson to fight other than Hopkins? Why can't Dawson unify the division by fighting Pascal or Cloud? It's really not so much a matter of whether Hopkins will fight Dawson or Green or some other lightheavyweight. The thing is, Hopkins won't fight anybody if it is not staged by Golden Boy Promotions. And I still believe that Hopkins vs. Haye is on the way, when (and if) Haye beats Ruiz.Comment

I think potentially beating Dawson would mean more for Bernard's resume but a fight with Green would probably be more entertaining...
