Doesn't work like that. Two different body types, two different fighters. Just cause one can move up and have success, doesn't mean the other can also.

Didn't it occur to you that why Pacman have been having so much trouble against Marquez is because he's starving himself to death just to make weight at superfeather? That's why he usually weighs around 139-144 come fight night, and not all athletes have the same metabolism...

check pacquiaos weight on those fights, before the weight, during the weight in and at fight night. he was already walking around 144, starve himself and run in the morning to lose weight. ariza caught him running, ariza made him stop, they wrap pacquiao with hot towels on the sauna to shed the weight.
now that he doesnt need to shed the weight, he can eat breakfast and lunch the day during the weight in, he's in superb condition.
marquez and pacquiao cant be comapred body type-wise, one's metabolism is different from the other.

Why? Because unlike Marquez Manny already successfully competed at welter with a formidable opponent in DLH (though we can all debate on DLH being past his prime and dehydrated) whereas Marquez never ventured that far north in weight to begin with.

Pacquiao was 145 in the ring for the second Marquez fight.

Pacquiao is a much better fighter when he isn't cutting so much weight. When he's drained he gets hurt, or even KO'd (Singsurat fight).
