I don't know, maybe because Pac just got finished beating the sh** out of the then second best welter in the world, 8 months after laying out the best 140 pounder in the world in 2 rounds, and Marquez went life and death with Juan Diaz at 135 before fighting Floyd at 147?

I'm not really sure though.

Why don't you do some homework, use your brain and work it out?

Marquez was being bullied around by small, light-punchng Juan Diaz at 135. What the hell makes anyone think he can compete above 140?

Pacquiao is able to carry the weight much more effectively and has proved it.

Pacquiao been fighting at welter for some times now, he grown to this division. but still he is not a natural welter. For JMM case, before PBF, he was fighting at lightweight then suddenly jump up to welter.

Hang on didnt Marquez give Pacquiao trouble in both there fights?

Yeah, Marquez cant compete above 140 because he had troubled with Diaz but then again gives Pacquiao the 2 toughest fights of his career which a lot of people think Marquez won

It might have been at 130 but Pacquiao moved up, so why cant Marquez?

Give the dude a chance to prove it..

Cause there is no need.

Marquez was pulled up two weight classes to fight Floyd (140 147 or 144, whatever the weight was).

Pac has fought at 140-143 and 144, he has ajusted to the weight class. He is not smaller than Floyd. Also to add to that, Floyd does not put on that much weight after the weigh in.

Don't be so sure. About that particular excuse I mean. Most have come to terms with Pac not being smaller than Floyd.
