I would like to see it in Dallas aswell or any other major stadium at that, it would be nice change of pace and gives the superfight a fitting stage.
But still i'll put my money that it stays in Vegas, in the end there will be too many inside influences.

i'd say tickets, food/beverages, parking, sponsorship, etc..

i'd say jerry would be happy to break even..

if you do the math of 75,000 x average ticket of let's say $100 then that is 7.5Mil, then look at let's say, average food/beverages of $20 per person, then thats 1.5Mil,,,and the list goes on....furthermore the State Government must also help out due to the massive influx of tourists/journalists/etc...you wouldn't be able to find a hotel in the area with a free room, so there too is a massive boost for the local economy.

Source: Dallas Cowboys owner offers $25 million for Mayweather-Pacquiao

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has offered a $25-million guarantee to host the scheduled March 13 mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao in his Texas stadium, a source close to the negotiations but not authorized to speak publicly about them told The Times today.

Jones' new Dallas Cowboys Stadium has a capacity of more than 100,000. His offer exceeds the $20-million guarantee that Staples Center offered fight promoters earlier this week.

When asked about the Dallas guarantee, Mayweather promoter Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions would neither confirm or deny its accuracy.

"The numbers are going in the right direction, and I believe we'll end up in excess of $30 million," Schaefer said.

A spokesman for Jones declined to comment about the site talks.

The Dallas offer will be greatly challenged by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, which is expected to offer ringside seats for $2,500, which is $500 more than the highest-priced seats for the most lucrative fight in boxing history, Mayweather's split-decision triumph over Oscar De La Hoya in May 2007.

Experts say that price increase could put a Mayweather-Pacquiao gate near $28 million, and Las Vegas is also positioned to sell another 40,000 seats for closed-circuit showings at $100 apiece, generating another possible $4 million at selected MGM properties, including Mandalay Bay.

MGM hasn't presented a guarantee yet, fight sources have said. An MGM spokesman declined to discuss his company's involvement with Mayweather-Pacquiao this week.

Schaefer said he first is hopeful that he can gather signed deals from Mayweather and Pacquiao next week, and then work to finalize the site deal.

He said counteroffers are encouraged to be sent to his Los Angeles office during the weekend. He added the final decision will require Mayweather's approval.

"I just added toner to the fax machine and had it serviced right before I left Friday," Schaefer said. "So keep those offers coming."

i think arum and schaefer are using dallas for posturing. they know vegas wants the enormous business that this fight will generate for a weekend. I mean, most people fly into vegas for the weekend, if not longer. that's roughly 3 days of eating, ********, clubbing, shopping, AKA spending money. Dallas? nothing to do. You fly in, go to the fight, fly home.

the state tax here in Cali is gonna take us out of the running IMO

this fight will be at the MGM and they will offer 30 Million for the site fee....in no way do i think this fight will end up in Dallas...

if the fight is in VEGAS....it will not only be the MGM that will benefit...but ALL OF VEGAS will benefit...

people who arent even boxing fans & will not be going to the fight will go to vegas just to party that weekend....

Pac: last 10 fights? 8 of them in Vegas (80%)
Floyd: last 10 fights? 5 of them in Vegas (50%)

how exactly does floyd have 'hometown' advantage? Because he lives there?

and too scared to fight outside vegas? after his two back to back with JLC, he didn't even fight in vegas for MORE THAN 2 years. Hell he fought on both west and east coast. Portland oregon, Atlantic city twice, miami, fresno, michigan.
