  • Puerto Ricans I am calling ya'll out

I just rewatched Cotto vs Pacquiao, and before I say this I want to tell ya'll that Pacquiao could have wooped Cotto's ass any day of the week including the Pre Margaputa Cotto. Now I couldn't help but be utterly disturbed by what I saw in Cotto's corner. Joe Santiago is a ****ing dumbass, and he clearly shouldn't have even been in Cotto's corner. No tactical advise was given to Cotto whatsoever by him.

In round two I think he said, "all he has is that left hand you saw that"

How the **** are you going to tell Cotto that when Manny was hooking of Cotto's jab with his right hand?

Throughout the fight he was basically a ****ing cheerleader.
"we're with you we're with you stay strong stay strong stay strong"

    wtf?

The only tactical advise that I heard from him was "throw the jab throw the jab and back him up"

I know the Jab was effective at first, but it stopped being so effective once Manny started to time it with his right hook. The dude was a ****ing cheerleader throughout the whole fight like Roach said. Were was the tactical advise? I think that if Cotto had a better corner the fight would have been a little more competitive, and he would have came in with a different gameplan.

Now it's unbelievable that Cotto is still going to keep Santiago as his trainer for his next fights. That **** makes me mad. He is one of my favorite fighters, and yeah I am pissed that he hasn't fired that cheerleader wannabe trainer. I certainly don't want to see Cotto fight with that guy in his corner next year. Ya'll need to get a hitman on his ass, or something.

    end rant/

what ya'll think of what i'm saying?

I think most would agree with pretty much every word you said.

      Is Santiago a fluke? Yes.

Cotto could've had a dream team of coaches like De La Joto did and we all saw what happened to that.

PAC and Cotto are simply levels apart from each other. You could've brought Futch back to life along with Dundee and bring on f**kin' Nacho and the result would've been the same.

Also, it wasn't so much that Cotto was doing great with his jab, it was more like PAC just gave that first round away. You saw how he took away that jab after that.

I just forgot about it, but yeah, you mentioned that PAC started countering Cotto's jab with his right hook.

Well, okay then, so what are you b*tchin' about? Once you've taken away an opponent's most important weapon and he's simply outgunned in every department, there's really not much the corner can do but cheerlead or throw in the towel. Right ?

I mean, think about it dude. Cotto's at his best puttin' pressure on opponents and killin' the body. PAC took that away with his counter-punching and movement. What else could've Santiago really done, ****, not even Roach could've done anything at that point.

I have no problem with the tactical advice that Santiago was giving, his biggest mistake was not stepping in and throwing in the towel.

I think Cotto is set in his ways---he listens to no-one even if it's good advice. I think kidnapping is a little bit extreme though. heh.

the best that cottos corner could have done is to throw in the towel at round 9 or 10 so roach could have collected his bet wins.

We can't blame Joe, he's trying, he needs more experience and bad experiences such as this one to learn from his mistakes.

LOl. But that doesn't help cotto at the moment if Cotto plans to keep this services.
