Now you are to fight this guy and he and his camp demand that you take certain tests that no one before you has ever taken nor been asked to take. These tests more than multiply the number and degree of the previous tests you have ever taken. Would you not be tempted to refuse this gesture just a bit at all?

And furthermore, what do you all think Mayweather would have said had De La Hoya asked him to take these tests or Hatton?

He would have taken the test just as he's willing to do now.Apparently he has nothing to hide. It's not a one way street. They both would take the test. Mayweather did everything Delahoya wanted including bigger gloves, ring size, weight, date. Why would this be any different?

Adhering to tradition is why we still have boxing judges who have no idea how to score a fight.

I don't see Floyd claiming fears of needles.

Why would a fighter refuse if he were clean? That is the question. If Pacman is annoyed by such a request because he has always been clean, you would think he would just at the chance to prove that he is clean.

Even if it was required for him to do it everyday it would be a slight inconvenience at worse.
I think that Mayweather would not have simply complied if asked to submit, he would have had something to say I'm sure. It is insulting for someone to ask you to go over and beyond like that. It's like you play cards, texas holdem for example, and you always seem to win. Then, one day you go to a friendly game but at the door, you are told that you can't shuffle the cards anymore because people think you are counting the cards even though you may have no idea how to even count cards.

All I'm saying is that there may be a pride issue or some other reason why he would not agree to the testing right now. I'm sure something will get smoothed out in the long run but if not, he has other plans as does Floyd.

The question becomes will Pac's next opponent attempt to force him to take the same tests or will May attempt to force his next opponent to take the same tests? Will this become the standard for all boxing?

Because he would have been the first in history who was asked to take such a series of tests. Being used as an example or forced to set such a controversial precedent is not a favorable position to have sometimes
