I think you can lose in your prime and it's fine. Leonard got beaten fairly well in his first fight with Duran. Not dominated, but beaten clearly.

But realistically, your legacy shjould never depend on one fight. It's just that SOME fights have much bigger impacts on your legacy, than the rest.
